Does anyone remember when Trudeau was just an MP? When he didn't have any aspirations to be prime minister or party leader (or so he said)? Does anyone remember when that changed? Cuz I sure do. I remember hearing he beat (former) Conservative senator Patrick Brazeau in a boxing match, and jokingly saying, "Wow, he won a boxing match? He could totes be PM now!" Apparently, tons of people had that thought, but they didn't mean it as a joke. Not too long after, JuTru slayed the other nominees in the Liberal Party leader race, did his leader thang, almost got into a scandal when he didn't give back a speaking engagement fee like he was supposed to, and just drew in all the admiration for being our greatest prime minister's son. Well, now that he's PM, he needs to keep his damn promises and show himself to be worthy of the title. How stupid are Canadians gonna look if it turns out they voted for someone because of his name and nothing else? Because there's a distinct possibility that there ISN'T anything else. What has he done so far that's so fucking amazing? Because honestly, I haven't seen anything. People really were just voting in a pipe dream, because as usual with Canadian politics, they weren't thinking. He's not his Dad, he's not experienced, he's not yet proven himself, and I'd hate for things to stay the exact same as they were with Harper just because people were such fucking dumbasses as to think they could elect a dead guy through his son.
