judy [ deleted at 8:34pm ]: so that guy that dropped off lunch for you at the precinct - your boyfriend?

judy [ deleted at 7:05pm ]: i found this old photo album at my parents house, you need to see some of these.

judy [ deleted at 11:02pm ]: hey judy.

judy [ sent at 9:32am ]: could we talk? possibly over lunch?

gabriel flinched and instinctively took a step back. her words felt like a heavy BLOW to the gut, how could they affect him in anyway but ? lips pursed, he let the accusation hang in the air for a few moments, unsure of how to continue. she was right. fuck she was ALWAYS right. but gabe refused to let her make him feel guilty for his decisions. everything he did, he did for a reason. regaining his composure, he straightened his back and met her eyes with a heavy gaze, his words firm, “ i did what i thought i had to, to ... survive, jude. for me, my family. ” he bit down on his lower lip. here he went again, losing his nerve. he only ever lost his nerve with HER. “ i didn’t know, i-  after you.. i had no one to turn to. to help me, GUIDE me. i know — ” gabriel let out shaky breath, “ — it was stupid of me to rely so much on one person. but that was MY mistake and i made sure it never happened again. ”
