A pause and a moment to think about Peridot’s words was all that was given.
❝ Fair enough. Keep it for as long as you want- or feel the need to. I’ll get the heat running again. ❞
The larger gem gave a stretch, shivering slightly and wrapping her arms around herself. She was thankful that she had been away so she didn’t have to deal with this. It was like the heating went out all the time- but this was the first time that Jasper had seen Peridot wearing her clothes. And it was interesting- it made her wonder if Peridot did it every time the heating went out?
At least Peridot should be thankful that Jasper hadn’t called her out on the stammering.
“Be careful not to hit your head on the low ceiling in there.” The reminder was as much of a thank you as you’d get out of this particular gem.
She’d fixed the heating countless times but yet it always seemed to stop every time she had her back turned. Now she was just cold and adverse to the idea of moving she’d let the larger gem have a crack at it. Maybe the cold was making her thought process sluggish but she didn’t think Jasper could make it worse.
