panic.

Once upon a time, he had been rather reckless and brazen. It was right after the shut down of the league that Jaebum had gotten lost in the rural countryside, traveled by foot through forests and camped by riverbeds. He had been stubborn and refused to come home despite the frequent phone calls from his worried grandparents. With his Eevee and Haunter (at the time) by his side, he tracked down different types of pokemon and battled against all of them.
He spent months traveling around the country on foot. This was how he met a slew of other trainers and travelers, those who were a bit too heavy hearted to return home. Even in his position as a gym leader now, there wasn’t a day he thought back to the adventures he had. Some small part of Jaebum yearned to go back to those simple days where the giant list of responsibilities didn’t weigh him down. But he wouldn’t trade the relationships he had nowadays for anything.
Sleepily collapsing into his favorite armchair, Jaebum turned on the TV as he took a giant sip of his coffee. It continued to play as background noise as he played on his phone while he slowly sipped at his coffee. It was his typical morning routine, something he did that relaxed him before spending a long day at the gym. It was mid-sip that the news finally caught his attention. As the reported droned on about a rare pokemon phenomenon that was never documented, Jaebum’s fingers quickly typed out a text with a small grin on his face.
shik >> Not sure if you’ve seen the news yet
shik >> but remember that time we went camping?
