Easy in. Easy out. It had been awhile since she’d done this, but there was no way in hell she was going to fuck it up. She was, and always had been, a natural. Some kids took to the clarinet, but for Felicia it was picking pockets. At a young age, it was all fun and games with her dad. As she got older, however, she had pulled away from it.
After the attack, though, things just weren’t the same. Anybody who knew her before could see that plain as day. Her moral compass had taken a few dings and there was no turning back. If she couldn’t get revenge the way she wanted to, well then the whole damn world was gonna pay. That’s just how it was.
She broke the lock off the window and crawled in easy enough, but when she looked down at the jewelry cases she stopped dead in her tracks. A girl, probably about her age, was standing in front of the display. Fuck. Had someone come back to clean up?
Felicia started to put two and two together and realized that that definitely wasn’t the case. This girl was wearing all black, including black leather gloves to make sure she wouldn’t leave fingerprints. This wasn’t a worker. This was another thief. How dare she come ahead and steal her thunder?
Dropping down from the ceiling, her eyebrows furrowed as she approached the redhead. “Hey, uh, hate to break it to you but this is my territory. You may have gotten here first, technically, but this place is still mine. You should get out of here and leave the thieving to the professionals.”
