I was wondering if you could help me with where you double check canon plot and character background? I tried using the Teen Wolf wikia to look up stuff for Isaac but I still forget, is he a sophomore or junior? Is his mom dead or did she leave them? Did he move or always lived in Beacon Hills? His father apparently wasn't always abusive, so when did it start? Questions about that sort of thing...
to be fair, a lot of that is not revealed and is fanon speculation. issac in the show mentions that his dad wasn't always that way. there is no mention of his mother, there is reference to his older brother who died in action. there's a report on the sheriff's desk. as for ages, the only character that is implicitly said to be a sophomore is scott. though it has been implied that they are all juniors next season. though this has been speculated largely since jackson was already team captain which doesn't happen a lot to sophomores. but the whole age thing is skewed since the birthdays in the hunt, the facebook game, don't match up to the birthdays in the teen wolf show, ie lydia's birthday in the hunt was right after allison's and the winter formal was on the same week as valentine's day. so a lot is hand-waved. as for isaac, nothing is mentioned about his mother/when his relationship with his father deteriorated, one could assume it had to do with his brother dying or matt pseudo drowning in their pool. but again, nothing has been implicitly said. there have been easter eggs on jeff's twitter about certain background info but not really for isaac, largely been with mccalls/stilinskis/hales/boyd. so you're asking about information that isn't there. yet.
I just want to say that this blog name is the best! It makes me think about the rules from zombieland and how it's survival of the fittest (literally) in that world!
