Dream: Night
Slept 8/31/16, woke up 9/1/16
As all dreams are, this dream is very incoherent and, perhaps, impossible to decipher the true meaning of it. I do not recall the beginning of the dream, but I do remember the events. I will start from where I can remember.
I was in my car, driving around during the hours of about 11 - 12 at night for reasons not yet known to me. The streets were barren and empty, almost as if mimicking a ghost town. I was simply driving with nowhere in mind. The windows were rolled all the way down and the wind was howling throughout the car. It is one of my favorite feelings for reasons I cannot put into words. I do not recall any music playing in the car as I was driving, which was odd. I was driving through a lower income neighborhood (think Long Beach, Magnolia after PCH area) when suddenly I find myself in an arcade. An abundance of games inhabited the arcade ranging from retro games as well as arcade staples such as fighting games. I did not recall any flashy games such as DDR. In fact, the arcade was actually very quiet and intimate. It was a place where you can simply sit and think (or forget) about your problems while you play games. An unspecified amount of time passes before I finally stop playing and go up to leave. Suddenly, the clerk at the front tells me to pay 7(?) dollars for the drink. To my bewilderment, the establishment was not an arcade anymore, but a restaurant with a healthy amount of patrons currently dining. Every single arcade cabinet and games disappeared as if they were never there in the first place. I was genuinely confused and just paid the clerk the money I owed. I then fearfully realize that I left my wallet at one of the arcade cabinets. I go back inside and the place was suddenly an arcade again. For some reason, I did not acknowledge this and simply picked up my wallet at the cabinet that I was at. I then go back out to my car in the parking lot and just sat in my car for a little bit. I then see a car roll up into the parking lot and subsequently see people getting out of the car and go into the restaurant/arcade dimension.
Suddenly I found myself driving again in the same neighborhood and, again, with the windows rolled down with the wind howling in my face. I then come across a stop light. I was driving at a normal speed as I was approaching the light when suddenly the light turned red without warning. Not yellow, but red. I simply had no time to stop and ended up running the red light. Not long after, I see red and blue lights and I was subsequently pulled over. A female police officer, not very attractive, mid aged, asked for my license as well as prior instances of traffic stops. The version of myself in the dream had never heard of this concept of ‘prior instances’ and was lost. I genuinely did not know what she was talking about and was squeamishly asking her what that looked like as I was looking through my wallet. She helped me of course. Then, a male cop, about 30 - 35 years old, told me to follow them, but in my car. They then lead me to a janky little pizza joint that looked like the Pizza Hut on Willow and Pacific, but less that desirable. After the cops lead me there, they just left. No instructions, no warnings, nothing. They just left. Obviously, I was confused, so I ended up going inside out of sheer curiosity. I was greeted to a manger interacting with his employee (I presume this because of their uniforms). The manager was the shorter man, about 5′3 -5′6. I deducted immediately that the manager was a very bad manager. Bad in the sense that he did not know what he was doing. He was a very good spirited individual, but incompetent. I came to this conclusion based on how he interacted with his employees. His employee, a taller and younger individual, was talking to the manager about some things (I assume it was something about taking a break) in a very passionate and angry manner. But the manager simply disregarded him with a naive smile and dismissed him. The employee then stormed out angrily, but the manager was still smiling at me. He then started talking to me and attempted to recruit me for a job. It was then that I realized the graffiti littered interior and tinted windows. I was seriously turned off about the job offer but he gleefully persisted. He then, with the same gleeful persistence, started to get weird and told me that he wanted to join because he has three female employees who were more than willing to engage in sexual activities. That was when I stormed out of the door and into the parking lot.
That’s all I remembered
