My mom and step dad just came home from their trip to Alaska, and apparently they were very nearly on the k2 aviation plane that crashed and killed everyone inside.

They took a picture in front of the plane before another group showed up for the same tour, moving my mom's group to the bigger plane, which ultimately saved their lives.

The articles we've found about the crash say the pilot made a call over the radio about an hour after the crash to report injured passengers, meaning they might all have been alive for.....who knows how long. It took a week to find the wreckage, and almost three feet of snow has fallen there since, so my guess is they all froze to death.

This is fucking freaky.

I'd taken so many photos on the flight, I decided to use a Black & White filter on a few. I found they added a different feel, even texture to the images I captured.
