What are your odds on Fusco making it out alive? I always pictured him alive at the end but now I'm not so sure.

I’m not sure either. I’d say he has a better chance than some and I’m letting myself be optimistic, but I’m also fortifying for sadness. He’s survived a lot of stuff this season - getting shot in the chest, shot in the arm, stabbed in the neck with superflu, buried alive in a collapsing tunnel, etc. - and I guess my biggest worry is just that him surviving everything that gets thrown at him is luring us into a false sense of security before he gets horribly killed in the finale.

I am inclined to believe that he’ll make it, though. Or I’m inclined to want him to make it so hard that belief doesn’t come into it. I’ve already started writing fixit fic, just in case. I have a life raft and I will not be drowned.

TL;DR stands for Too Long; Didn’t Read and it was a key phrase in mid-to-late 2000′s fandom. Which is like, my era. 

I think it came from actual editing, but online it was mostly used as a way of flippantly dismissing someone’s argument. Like, somebody would type up a well-researched, five paragraph essay about why You Are Wrong, and then you’d go “tl;dr” indicating that you don’t care about their opinion enough to read the comment essay and wow, hurtful.

But it kind of evolved and became used in a self-deprecating way and eventually it came to basically mean “in short”. Like, I type up a five paragraph essay about why Remus and Sirius were totally canonically in love, because it’s 2005 and that’s what we did in those days, and then at the very end I’d be like “tl;dr: hms wolfstar 4 lyfe!!!111one” and oh man, how awful.

It could also be pronounced “teal deer” if you were whimsical and loved sounding things out phonetically.

Do you ever sit around think how cute Fusco looks with his face scraped up?

I don’t, but I do regularly go out of my way to make bad stuff happen to Fusco’s face in my fics, so it’s safe to say I’m into it.

Brotherhood is all on Amazon Prime Instant Video (for free, if you have Prime). It’s 3 seasons, all very short (11, 10, and 8 episodes respectively). It’s mainly about two brothers - Michael Caffee (Jason Isaacs), a tracksuit-wearing criminal scumbag, and Tommy Caffee (Jason Clarke), a local politician - fighting it out over the family dinner table. But their childhood friend is local crime boss Freddie Cork (Kevin Chapman), and he’s delightful. And by delightful, I mean kind of horrifying. He’s one of those contrast characters who, throughout the series, walks the line between reprehensible and lovable and ridiculous/pathetic. Like there’s an episode where he strangles someone for literally no reason and it’s terrible and sad, but there’s also multiple scenes of him being absolutely sweet with his wife and children, and there’s also an episode where he decides that Michael Caffee is not invited to be a part of his softball team, so Michael starts his own softball team, and then the two of them dissolve into childish slapfighting on the field.

You probably remember it from those screencaps people were passing around a couple years ago of Chappy’s character pissing off the side of a boat. It’s that show.

And I don’t think I ever did ship Ben/Sawyer. I get why people would - there’s definitely material to be worked with - but I didn’t start to really like Sawyer until his LaFleur days, and I don’t think he and Ben saw much of each other after that. More of a Sawyer/Miles type person m’self.

Perhaps! As far as post-POI analogues go, I’m letting myself be lowkey excited-with-reservations for APB, which appears to be, in some small part, about Kevin Chapman fighting crime using future technology he has no hope of understanding. Which is my genre, apparently. If a taller man physically intimidates him, I will be pleased.
