It was something my grandmother (maternal) always use to say to me. I am actually a pretty shy person IRL and as a kid I always wanted to join this or that club/sport but would always hang back. My grandmother would always point out that it might seem like a lot of work to be outgoing, but as long as I put myself out there and tried, I was halfway there. :)
