powers + madison

nick’s powers don’t come till after he leaves home and trains. there’s a light in him that travels from him or it’s warped around him and flows through into people. it “kills” them, burns them from the inside out - causing boils and burns and it’s been said that if the boils reach your face you become nick’s. walkers, they call them. they’re slow and mindless but they can attack on command. 

madison adores him, though. ever since birth. an uncut diamond, her nicholas. his powers are controllable, less rigid. unlike her second born whose powers are based on whims and twists and rules. – after her favourite leaves home, she locks alicia up, afraid that the baby of the family will leave too. 

- oh man. bby alicia. lonely and kind and smart and just so desperate for approval. her… “other self” isn’t the cleanest when it comes to a deathcount, but she is innocent. innocent and sweet even when there’s black swirling in her eyes and darkness billowing around her. 

sometimes she’ll make the easiest requests of her big brother. “kiss me nicky.”/“harder, nicky.” 

or sometimes it’ll be impractical. “i want her left hand.”

or the cutest little requests. “nick nick nick nick ni-” “yes, love?” “hold me?” 

but always it’s never evil – nick swears by it. even when it drains her to heal people or grant people’s most absurd wishes, she only asks for affection. 

alicia’s other self comes out on a whim, or when summoned. and she’s childish and naive, wants her big brother’s protection and guidance and to be carried. but she loves nicholas, very much so. she idolizes the freddom and light in her beloved big brother.

finally sitting down to actually think about this. About nick clark and his enormous love for his baby sister. About how he ran away for a chance. A chance for Alicia to be loved and be happy. But it doesn’t happen.

Oh man. Alicia is useless, to madison anyway. She can grant wishes but there are rules and twists and madison wants a weapon, smth she can create and carve out - like her beautiful glittering Nicholas.

And so of course he returns. Trained to fight and still so young but he returns to his baby sister - this time he’s fighting for her.

I just have a lot of thoughts(?) licia, if we don’t leave the mountain in half an hour, kill madison, but if we do I want a kiss. .okay.

his baby sister cradled in his arms, loose and loving and safe and the woods is shifting and the light calls for him but he needs to save his energy for her, to bring her to safety. Thirty minutes go by and alicia moves, shifts from being tucked in the crook of his neck to wrapped around him. /my big brother/. wet sloppy kiss on his lips and he is shocked but his wish came true. he loves her so
