Top 10 reasons why I hate this season of The Bachelor
#10. Courtney
She's a conniving, arrogant little bitch. If she wins, I'm never watching again.
#9. Bad Hair.
While we all think Ben is super sweet and very attentive (as repeated over and over by all of the ladies on the show) I think he looks a little too much like the Geico Cave man.
#8. How quickly everyone falls in love
Imagine you are on a first date. Everything is going wonderful. Your date is flawless...great conversation, good looks, and even has a great sense of humor. When all of a sudden talk of a wedding becomes involved. FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, ITS THE FIRST DATE. This show should be called "Stage Five Clingers and Fake Engagements". I've heard "I'm in love with him", "I'm going to spend the rest of my life with Ben", "He is my perfect man", and other various clingy quotes about 100r0293842983798234209 times. VOM.
I dunno, with all the emotions running high and ABC picking 20 women for him to fall in love with...I'm not sure Ben is going to find love this season.
#7. All those bitches get to go to cool places!
Not fair!!
#6. Courtney
#5. He dumped Kaci B.!
I'm livid. This was MY first impression rose. Forget Lindsay (my new front runner) and her freakin' horse (original!) Kaci B. had charm!
She even has bad hair days! They're perfect for eachother. They can run around with their terrible hair together.
#4. Courtney
#3. Rose Ceremonies
The tension is so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
or a thorn?
#2. Courtney's nose
JUST LOOK AT IT
#1. You guessed it....
Courtney.
I'm going to rant about The Bachelor for a minute. (And yes, I do realize it's my own fault for watching the show in the first place. I know.) But this post is actually going to have a happy ending, so bear with me a minute. I was a fan of Kacie B. since that very first date, and I was convinced that they should end up together. I'm still wishing that's how it would end up. She was the sweetest, kindest, most adorable, absolutely most genuine woman on the show. And she was crazy about Ben. So naturally, I wanted her to have him. Someone that great deserved the best, right? And to Kacie B., Ben was the best. And up until the final four, Kacie was certainly the best that was left, right? I think Ben was an absolute fool to let her go. I don't understand what he was thinking. I suppose that was his choice, though. But if I really like and respect Kacie as much as I say I do, shouldn't I want her to end up with the right guy, not just the one in front of her who she thinks she wants? The whole way through the show, there were things about Ben I didn't like or didn't respect. I thought Kacie deserved better. not to mention that his morals should match up to hers. Of course, I don't know if it was her morals or her parents that Ben disagrees with, but if she holds the same values as her parents, than she needs to hold out for a guy who meets those! So while I still don't understand what the heck Ben was thinking or how he let her go, I'm happy for Kacie. She deserves someone better for her than Ben is. Her heart will heal, she'll watch the season and realize he's not everything she wanted, and one day she'll find someone better. This is a good thing. This looks like a post about The Bachelor, but really it isn't. It's a post about love, about waiting for better, about deserving the best. I think (for me, anyway) we just want people to be happy and have what they want right now. That's what I wanted for Kacie. But I've always said that I don't think breakups are a bad thing. Sad, yes. Of course. But they make way for better, more right, things. And tonight's show just made me think about that for the first time in a while. I'm sad Kacie got her heart broken. I'm sorry for Ben because I think he let a really great girl go. But I'm happy that Kacie will have the opportunity to find the man who is just right for her.
Kacie B (aka Crazy B) is ... Crazy
Everyone's favorite southern belle Crazy B is not-so-slowly losing her mind. She has become a complete and total emotional wreck. Though she's not Jenna yet, she is pretty darn close. In fact, last night she said "he makes me feel like ME and I haven't felt like that in a long time." Two questions on that point: (1) who has she been feeling like and (2) WHY hasn't Ben kicked her and her multiple personalities off yet?
Episode Two Review: Sappy Sonoma...
Two episodes in, and I’m pretty sure Ben is boring. Not Brad Womack boring, but boring nonetheless. But, what he lacks in charisma, he makes up in style. Ben’s by far the best dressed bachelor EVER. On his second solo date he donned a v-neck, button-down, vest, AND blazer. Anyone this committed to layering/thermal insulation is either fashion forward or homeless.
Kacie B. got the first solo date. She was surprised to learn that is WASN’T actually a solo, but a double . . . with Ben’s deceased father. Bummer. I don’t understand why the producers keep pushing Ben’s father into the picture, but to date he’s received more talk-time than many of the girls. I digress. During the date, Ben and Kacie B. wandered aimlessly through the streets of Ben’s hometown, which was charming, if not a bit cut-rate.
For the group date, the girls acted in a play. Very few of the girls were born actors. But, what they lacked in acting prowess, they made up in cup-size. Blakeley was even accused of being half gingerbread man/half hooker. But, besides that, the only drama was the acting.
The second solo date went to Courtney, who is a model. Poor Ben seems to be so enamored with that fact, that he seems to be content looking past how superficial and disingenuous all of her answers to his questions are. Courtney appears to be giving the absolute minimum effort, choosing to drink wine out of an oversized glass rather than schmooze after she received her rose.
At eliminations, some girls I didn’t recognize got kicked off, and Jenna. But, everyone saw this coming. Jenna got hammered again, cried in bed, AND her eye appears to get lazier every episode. But, I’m sure we’ll see Jenna again . . . if not on Bachelor Pad, then on Celebrity Rehab.
