is very into art - she doodles a lot all over her parchments and assignments, has a sketchbook she carries everywhere, doodles all over herself and friends

good with one liners, exploring creative ideas, generally has a really good attitude

comes back to finish her schooling after the battle of hogwarts, and then pursues art at a wizarding art school

takes a year after finishing art school to go live in japan with her grandparents

takes a tattoo apprenticeship at a shop in diagon alley where she studies and works until she takes a full-time job with the studio upon completing her apprenticeship

eventually opens her own shop in diagon alley, and lives in the loft above the shop with peyton

has a lot of tattoos, and only in colour. doesn’t do much greyscale or plain black tattoos

has a pocket pensieve that she keeps tattoo ideas in when she can’t immediately sketch them out

kade thoughts

after the battle of hogwarts, kade decides to go back for her seventh year alongside many of harry’s year who go back

she does well on her newts, excelling in charms and transfiguration

she spent the summer between six and seventh year in japan with her grandparents - her dad thought it would be a good idea to get out of the country so she got to go spend time with her extended wizarding family

comes back to hogwarts with a drive to do something that she wants to do - she wants to pursue art

so she ends up attending a bunch of design classes by wizard artists, goes to muggle galleries, and ends up becoming very interested in tattooing

she gets a muggle tattoo first, and then learns about wizarding tattooing

kade becomes an apprentice tattooer at 23 in london and begins creating a portfolio of art and develops charms to let her tattoos do “more” - more movement, more “awareness” (like maui’s mini maui tattoo)

she ends up herself quite covered in tattoos and ends up becoming a respected tattoo artist in wizarding london - her shop is right on diagon alleys main stretch

if brennan was a villain what would his villain name be and what would be his motive? what's a tradition that marcie always looks forward to? is there an art movement or aesthetic that kade just can't stand?

oooh good question. i think bren would become a villain largely to enact revenge on his dad (and corporations ie cadmus) for experimenting on him against his will/consent as a child. i think villain!brennan would be his father’s perfect poster boy so he could work from the inside against him? like would be able to get connections and know who to target to cause as much damage as possible to his father in order to ruin him, professionally and publicly. he’d really target places that are inhumane and are taking advantage of those who cannot defend themselves (okay so he’s still heroic) but i think he’d be much colder - willing to maim/kill if necessary, exact pain with no remorse, not holding back when he uses his powers. as for a name - something to do with a black hole maybe? i like the idea of keeping it ~space themed~ so perhaps something like Orbit? as he’s always in orbit??? idk

what's a tradition that marcie always looks forward to?

marcie is that christmas bitch. she’s like IT IS NOVEMBER 12 TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. pine and cinnamon candles. sweaters. tree is UP and decorated a solid month before the 25th. she’s got that starbucks holiday menu memorized. gifts are done and bought and wrapped before december 1 and under the tree just waaaiting. she loves christmas eve - it’s kind of a catholic thing (her mother’s french canadian family is Catholic). they get together for a meatless meal and go to midnight mass all together. she loves singing the carols and spending time with her family. they also get to open one present after mass (which is now technically christmas day) which she loves. so pretty much all christmas/holiday traditions.

is there an art movement or aesthetic that kade just can't stand?

she’s not a huge fan of traditional renaissance paintings. as an artist, her focus is not on realism, rather the concept of capturing emotions with her mediums. she understands that realism is a basic as an artist, but she really couldn’t give a hoot about the mona lisa.

COLORFUL GIRLS

seriously they both always look like a rainbow threw up on them Kade has paint stains e v e r y w h e r e and Vivie’s hair is colorful and she doesn’t know how to match her clothes

one day they decide to dye Kade’s hair it doesn’t go as well as they could’ve hoped but it’s not as bad as it could be

Kade teaches Vivie to do the double bun hairstyle and Viv is obsessed

They date when they’re like thirteen or fourteen and they’ve maybe kissed people before but they’re not experienced yet and they learn together

share clothes?? all the time

they go thrift store shopping together and try on cute and goofy outfits!!

they make so much noise reacting to the taste

the butterbeer is there to wash the flavor down

when it’s snowy and cold out, Kade will wear one of the colorful scarves Vivie made her

they’ll have snowball fights when it snows, sometimes with Cillian included

they’ve also built snowmen; Kade’s usually turn out better than Vivie’s

The battle rages around them, but all Kade can hear is the blood rushing through her body, pumping in her ears and thudding through her veins.

She herds the first years out of Ravenclaw Tower, blindly trusting her feet to take her to the Room of Requirement as the crying eleven-year-olds swarm around her. Biting her lip, she pauses at the door as an Order member puts their hand on her shoulder.

“You’ve done a good job,” they say, but it barely registers. Kade nods once, twice, and then spots Peyton coming down the hallway with a group of kids as they continue the evacuation.

“We have to go,” he says, his voice unnaturally serious. She nods, swallowing hard as she stares at him, memorizing every detail of his face.

“I can’t, Pey,” she says, “I’m so- I’m so scared but we, we can’t leave-”

“We have to,” he says softly, looking down at her, “It’s- it’s not safe.”

Kade nods, taking his hand as they step into the room. Children are crying as they’re ushered through the portrait tunnel, and Kadeb ites her lip. She loks up at Peyton, eyes landing on his lips. Even if they make it to the Hog’s Head, will they be safe.

He opens his mouth to say something, she thinks, but she’s already on her tip toes, kissing him gently. It’s chaste, barely a kiss at all by the time she’s pulled away. There are a few wry miles shot in their direction as she takes his hand.

“Leaving doesn’t make us cowards,” she says quietly, “You’re right.”

“W-we’ll get the kids to safety,” he murmurs, leaning down to kiss her forehead, “An’ we’ll make sure no one gets hurt, yeah?”

“Yeah,” she says, eyes closing as his lips brush her forehead.THey take each other’s hands, and Kade’s other hand finds a small Gryffindor girl’s hand, and taking a shaky step forward, leads them into the tunnel.

Kade’s nose brushes under his jaw as she kisses down hisneck lightly. Jay shivers under her touch, a hand twisting in her long darkhair. He sighs as she bites a mark into his collarbone, swiping her finger overhis chest and leaving a trail of deep purple paint.

“I-is the paint necessary?” he asks breathily, and shegiggles, lifting herself up to kiss him as she grinds over his hips.

“Nope,” she mumbles, her breath hitching as she grips hisside, grinding down harder over him. “Just leftover. You- ah, were the one whocame to visit me in the studio Jay.”

He laughs, twirling his hand up to cup the back of her head,and pulling her to him for a kiss. She hums softly, eyelashes brushing hischeek as they kiss.

“I’m sorry,” he says suddenly, pulling back and resting hishead back on the couch, “You were working, I shouldn’t have-“

He’s cut off by a swift kiss, Kade’s hand pressing morepaint against his bare torso.

“Ah, but I’m working now too,” she murmurs, “You’ve justbecome my new canvas!”
