OK SO THE EXPLANATION OF HOW THE TRIVIA IN TRIVIA BOT WORKED.

So I have 3 faces that i can pull out. The neutral face and the happy/angry faces

I can see through the neutral face but can't see when the happy and angry faces are in the box, so i only put them in there when i was doing trivia. I handed out papers to people to read out bc i couldn't see during any of the actual trivia interaction.

For making the questions:

I used the actual quiz (linked below) as a baseline and made a cheat sheet with question numbers and answers

This was then given to my wonderful friend and handler Bug (@the-bug-carnival) who, being able to see would be able to check answers for me if i didnt know one.

I also redesigned the quiz interface as printable cards with the questions on them

I had all 98 (technically 99) questions in a little bag and the person would pick one and read it out (number, question and answers) then choose their answer. If there were right, i could pull my neutral face out of the box and my happy fave would be showing. If they got it wrong, i would pull out both my neutral and happy face to show the angry face

It was so much fun to be able to do this, very silly to be able to interact with everyone at the MCYT meetup and give out trivia and stickers

its kaeruu yap time again. this time it's a play by play of the rtc production i saw today. its midnight and im extremely ill about this show so here. a comprehensiveish list of things i liked about the show

karnak is played by a woman and she is the most MESSY BITCH EVER. also her robotic style movements were INCREDIBLE!!! She like genuinely looked like an animatronic it was freaky but also cool!

her tone of voice during "family fun novelty mode" and like tbh that whole monologue was sick

virgil was such a goofy stagehang and he slayed agressively. the virgil mask was sooo funny

karnaks costume and wig were also just gorgeous

during uranium ocean kept stepping infront of noel and noel kept looking at her like "bitch?" it was so funny

the most gorgeous harmonies ever. this group blended so beautifully omgggg

i just love uranium suite ok?

during minor turn, the karnak talking bit (its called minor turn still in the music but its still uranium on the spotify n stuff) they had this lovely mime of like buying rollercoaster tickets and getting on it was silly

they did the same roller coaster pose as the original does just with a different order

ricky coming in during the "sailing through space" bit and being SOOO loud such an incredibly strong voice

uranium is one of my faves i think its jist such a perfect opening number.

every ocean and karnak interaction was fantastic karnak was soooo sarcastic and such a diva. they're both bitches/pos i love them. the girls sre fightinnnggggg

"if only you hadnt blown those three questions right at the top" deapan is so funny

all of the nonverbal characterization during that first scene with the introductions is sooo good and so hard too. mad props to their mischa esp

"being the only gay man in a small rural high school is kinda like having a laptop in the stone ages. i mean sure you can have one, but there's nowhere to plug it in"

generally noel being a lot more confident then kholbys version. like more of a diva, less of a shy gay boy yk? both are fab but his actor ate so hard

"ricky you can talk?" "thats nothing watxh this" in the actual script it just says 'do somethint cool' and ricky decides to do that trick whete you like move your elbow joint around from your back to front its awdul to watch but very in character

noel hitting the same poses as kholby basically when announcing the prizes

"aunlight beings another day" just slaps so hard im mad it isnt in the album

janes entrance, her just basically poking everyone. legit the directors note for her was "baby with a watermelon head" and thats how she walks its so funny

ricky just stares at her in awe during that (this show he canonically has a big fat crush on her :3 spacedolls enjoyers rejoice)

karnaks booth will occasionally go closed to let the actor rest but whenever theres tea on stage it reopens like the messy bitch she is <3

oceans stupid little speach before wtwn

"ocean conceades." "she does what?" is so funny

during all the intros they have absolutely AWFUL pics of all the characters (school ID style) on the cyc. they are so damn funny

during wtwn "this one here hes raring to fail" and also rickys bit mischa and ricky are both so dang funny with their silent acting. mischa flips everyone off it's hilarious

halfway thru the song costume chane everyone is in colourful gospel robes thats spell out ocean on the back, durin the "0 or 0 or 0 or 0" bit they all turn and reveal that to the audience

karnak scolding ocean about the human pyramid thint (not typing out the whole line rn too lazy) is sooo damn funny im actually obsessed with their karnak

oceans charactizaion is so funny she looks like shes barely holding it together at all times and fake smiling her way thru its hilarious

the entire i love you guys bit <3

"no one gets to play the tamborine. theyre always made to plau the tambourine. no one want to go home with the tambourine guy." such a banger line omgggg

"nooooeeeel i love youuu. you challenged my preconceived notion that all gay dudes are fun to be around" eyeroll

her standing basically on too of noel on the same chair when she sings, she teies to push him off but he doesnt move so she gets up anyways

the "i hear it gives you and erection" scene was SO DAMN FUNNY cause he still had the wand from the harry potter bit so he holds it infront of his crotch and jus wide stance its so funny "or we could just go to the manger josep?"

noels whole monologue is so silly goofy i just love it

THE WORLDS MOST AWFUL HORRENDUS PICTURE YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE OF NOEL IN A TACO BELL UNIFORM APPEARS ALONG WITH THE TACO BELL DONNGGGGG (this made me loose my shit no clue why) "wots that?"

"god dAMN IT can u keep it in ur pants for one second you horrible sucubussssssssssssss" he just holds that s for forever "ssssssss" then after he like hissed like a cat it was so funny

his noels lament was a litle more forceful, a little more assertive and a little angrier which honestly i loved

the girls had fansssss. they covered noel with fans as he changed

he wore a tiny lil purple laungerrie set it was so cute honestly looked a bit like pjs lmao. complete w fishnets and the monique bob

"ten times in his back" hes hugging mischa from behind :3

the dance sequence. he like passes a rose to mischa from his teeth. also. fully. stops the music. JUST SO THEY CAN KISS LONGER IT WAS SO DAMN FUNNY. they made our for like 10 secs bro

also for some reason hes just slapping everyones asses lmao i swear its half the choir by the end of the song

after the "take lovw where u can" verse he fully. straddles misch in the chair and AGAIN THE STOP THE MUSIC as the girls with fans cover then, then resumes as noel gets off

ALSO noel did some just GORGEOUS deviations from the music with some runs during the "so now i sell my love for opium" verse and i about died they were so damn gorgeous

also they were ripping up their fishnets the whole time it was so funny

i saw some choreo during the beginning of the last verse that reminded me a lot of the benjamin michael hall noels lament like the ground choreo idk it was silly

the "do you wanna know what could have happened with talia" is cut from the script now and tbh its better how it is now. the transition to ricky going is a little strange tho

rickys actor was fantastic though. perfectly showing the nerdy aspect the quiet aspect and the sexy and confident aspect!

sabm costume were FABTASTUC OMG SO PRETTY

i will also forver be eating that rickys voice it was so damn beautiful the entire time

there isnt much to say about sabm it just was perfection. best ricky and best sabm i ever did see like holy shit

and jane returning to stage as penny, with tickets to the cyclone. OUUUUU IT MAKES ME FEEL FEELINGS

WOW THAT WAS NOWHERE CLOSE TO WVERYTHING I LIKED ABOUT THE SHOW, jusy what sleepy me remembered. now a few tidbits of after the show!

so i brought art pieces for the whole cast its in a separate post iirc

but basically noel was out getting donations and 1. RECOGNIZED ME from when i did a class with the theater on rtc. we sang noels lament together at one point

and 2. when i showed them the art they ASKED ME TO SIGN IT. LIKE LEGIT. EVEN BEFORE I ASKED RHEM TO SIGH THE OROGRAM. chat i am not ok

theu were incredibly sweet and asked me for a hug too like AHHHHH i got to gush about their performance and all the tiny details about their portrayal of him, like their tiny nervous habits and stuff how hes mt dream role n such fantastic and amazing guy frfr

so now that noel knows me by name and hopefully has the print somwhere in their house.

all the other actors were incredible i gave them all prints as well and rhey were incredibly sweet. ocean saud it was going on her wall and constance said she looked like an anime character

yeah. 10/10 show. uhh its really late now ive been making this post for over an hour and i ahould go to sleep but go wagxj rtc please

Me when my musical has a -town suffix, town represents where you go when you die, narrator/character who is aware its a story but actively participates, story repeating being mentioned in show, 75% through gets a good ending, instantly goes downhill, is not a happy musical. its a sad song, two main characters are a love story representing capitalist vs. anti-capitalist ideals, two love stories in different generations, main villain utilizes people in poverty’s needs for his own gain, deep voiced male main villain with an out-of-love tough woman lover who has a big solo song. who also ends up siding with the protagonist in the end, somewhat clueless but hopeful young man mc, begins with music interlude, introduction to show, then song about how poverty affects your life, is mainly brass accompanied by piano, ends with epilogue explaining how things will always go the same way, has the ensemble as greek chorus, underhandedly addresses the consequences of economic inequality, the entire beginning of the show’s problems is climate-related, main couple fall in love very suddenly, it is their first time & are eventually separated as one of them dies, the second act is when the sheeple wake up and decide to fight for their lives.

i have this thing i do with @the-bug-carnival sometimes when were texting late at night ive dubbed "headcanon soup" where a fandom just comes up and we just spit headcannons at one another until we get tired then go to bed :3

ride the cyclone headcanons, some sad some random (excluding jane/penny for actually i dont know why)

also just realized excluding karnak which is sad bc theyre such a diva

- ocean is an avid katy perry listener. and miley cirus

- constance tried to show mischa hyperpop one time bcs she thought he’d like it and he got so confused.

- she listens to fallout boy. youd think shed be like a conan gray girly but no.

- noel and ricky share earbuds when on the bus or smth bc they have some shared music taste. this makes mischa vr jealous (gay mf :3)

- mischa listened to drake but then noel caught him and made him start listening to kendrick instead

- ricky is def the type of guy who just goes down internet rabbit holes when bored

- mischa was they kid to hang from the monkey bars until all the blood ran to his head and he passed out. noel was the kid who swung on the swings and daydreamed

- ricky and noel had a warrior cats phase neither of them want to think about. noel moved on after like a year or so but ricky never did. he subsequently got into wings of fire and then percy jackson (+ slightly cannon harry potter phase!)

- ocean is hermione

- ricky is well known on ao3 ( + at least half the things ricky writes are tagged original work)

- ricky rlly wants to run a dnd session

- i think ocean bought mischa a teddy bear wearing traditional ukrainian dress and he pretended to hate it to seem cool but when he got home he just held it in his hand and cried for like an hour. (this man has never had a present in his life)

- mischa is the typa of person to when someone seems to like something he has, he will just straight up give it to them

- ocean loves getting jewelry as presents, she has a really nice charm bracelet she wears from constance for her 15th birthday. she slowly adds more charms when she visits new places

- noel runs oceans social media. she has it when she ran for class president. he made her do tiktok trends (she was awful)

- mischa invited noel with him when he recorded one of his songs and gave noel a signed vinyl and even though noel thinks it’s kind of ridiculous, he tells mischa he’ll hang onto it for when he gets famous

- noel stalks peoples instagrams like its a JOB. multiple fake accounts

- constance watches every cat video she can find. her favorites are the ones uploaded in like 2003

- noel took photography videography classes but doesn't actually take photos. his parents tried to get him into photography after that but he said he’d rather be in front of a camera then behind one

- noel is a great makeup artist and he does constance and oceans makeup for nights out

- he tried to get mischa to do drag w him and he would not

- constance would absolutely eat hiphop style dancing

- mischa basically lives at everyone elses houses cause his kinda sucks. noel basically had a second bed set up on his floor constantly. he doesn't usually stay w the girls bc he a respectful king

- theyre all banned from taco bell for going there to annoy noel

- constance would make an amazing vet

- drunk ocean sobs like her life depends on it

- drunk mischa just kinda stares into space

- drunk noel gets real flirty

i find it so interesting different peoples definitions of friendship. For example my lovely friend bug @the-bug-carnival told me recently that they are still "friends" with people they knew initially elementary school. I was shocked. "How do you stay that close to someone for so long?" i asked "We don't talk much, i just say hi occasionally." Then i remembered that we define friendship very differently. For them "friendship" is more based on friendliness. If they'll say hi in the halls or exchange a few pleasant words they're friends. As for me, i think i can count all rhe people i for sure consider "friends" on one hand. i find it really hard to consider someone my friend without constant communication, shared interests, complete(usually) comforabity in their presence, and probably more. But even so it's reslly hard to tell where people fall. Like for example a person in my math class. We talk every day, we talk in the halls, we will sometimes text, i've gone out to lunch with him, been to his house, went to his birthday, but I still don't know if we sre friends. i think he considers me his friend. but i'm not sure i do. because a lot of the time talking to him feels performative because we don't really have many shared interests. i dont know anymore. or another person. We hang out in class every day, i text them occasionally, we have shared interests in part and i feel completely fine talking to them. but still are they my friend? we don't hang out much if at all outside of class. I just can't tell when someone crosses into the friendship zone. i've subconsciously made my criteria for friendship so small that barely any people can be for sure called my feiends.
