Raijin realmente fue un memorable rival para Kagami-kun, incluso le quitó su primer beso a Hibana 😳
Hello! Can I get some aomine and kagami love triangle with reader. Maybe her being with aomine before and they broke up and she's in seirin and starts to maybe have a thing for kagami vice versa :3
(Sjendfhjwen this is crazy bc I've thought of the scenario in my head! Sorry it's angsty!!)
Aomine heard you were going to attend Seirin after you both graduated from Teikou. He was going to miss you dearly, but you both agreed long distance in grade school just wouldn't work for the two of you with your academics. So graduation was the last time you saw each other.
Back at Teikou, you were pretty involved with the basketball team. Since you were together with Aomine and friends with Momoi, you liked to show up at games often and cheer them on, though it wasn't necessary.
Now that you were at Seirin, you juggled around the idea of being involved with basketball again, so you did what you could. You befriended Riko quickly as your interest in the club was extremely clear, so she had you do this and that-practically being her vice manager.
Meeting the team was sort of a whirlwind, they were all one of a kind...especially Kuroko, who you'd known, and...Kagami. The first time you saw Kagami you could have sworn you went weak in the knees. It was a little odd for you since you still felt for Aomine.
You would think about the both of them often...it was almost painful. You missed your old boyfriend, but you wanted to say something to Kagami, to see if he maybe felt the same. You often got distracted in class and would get scolded for it.
The day finally came when Seirin would play Touou academy at the inter high preliminaries. You had an extreme amount of anxiety. You knew you would see him no matter what, and you couldn't imagine what it would be like.
--
You stepped into the stadium with the others at the inter-high, looking around at the lights and all the people. It wasn't long before you saw the other team, but...no Amine. You approached the bend with the others and saw Kagami walk up to the other team, asking about his whereabouts.
"He's late." was all you got out of it. What does that mean? Will he skip the game? In middle school he had skipped practice all the time, even a few games, but this was still unexpected. You frowned and looked down.
"You okay, y/n?" You felt a hand brush against your forearm. It was Kagami, "Yeah, I'm fine-just-." you swallowed before Kagami spoke again, "You went to Teikou, right? So you know Aomine. Were you friends?" He asked you a question that you didn't even want to answer, but you did.
"Yeah...more than that, but that doesn't matter." You told him, looking up. You noticed his expression was one of surprise, "So...he was your boyfriend or something?" His words made you purse your lips and look away,
"Kagami! Stop flirting! Do your warm ups!" Hyuuga interrupted from behind the two of you and you suddenly felt guilty for keeping him. Kagami grunted and did as the captain told him, jogging away.
Before you knew it everyone lined up, wishing each other a good game.
Saying you were taken aback by the skill of just the other team's players on the court would be an understatement. They were fast, and their defense good. Watching the others struggle was a bit painful, but Seirin was strong too, so you kept yourself calm.
The first quarter went by and most of the 2nd, until a familiar face interrupted the game. You froze and straightened yourself. Your chest tightened, and your breath was taken away.
"Aomine." You said under your breath. He and Kagami were locked in a battle from the time they laid eyes on each other.
As you were in thought, navy eyes met yours. His expression didn't change when he saw you though, he still had that smirk. You swallowed before he continued to join the others...as if you didn't exist.
Seeing him play was indescribable. He'd only gotten better ever since you saw him last. You'd never seen anything quite like it. Kagami was struggling and you began to feel bad for your own team.
But now, you were thinking of Kuroko, how was he feeling about all this? You could only wonder, as he was still unreadable for you.
As the game continued, things were were looking good and bad, commentary from Kagami and Aomine kept in quite tense for everyone watching.
The good and bad turned into the ugly...the gap only widened until the buzzer, Seirin losing sorely...you all left the court in silence. You wanted to cry, but not because you lost. Aomine was so....different...
--
As everyone changed and spoke together in the locker room, you asked to take a breather. Riko could tell you were overwhelmed, but not why. You sat on a concrete ledge, the cool night air tickling your legs.
"Y/n."
You heard an indistinguishable voice come from behind you. You clenched your fists in your lap and didn't say anything.
"What? I don't get a hello? Your good old boyfrie-."
"You're not my boyfriend anymore...don't even joke about it, Daiki." you interrupted him, earning you a small scoff. Aomine walked up and stood beside you.
"So then...enjoy the game?" He continued without acknowledging what you'd said. You looked up at him finally, and he down at you.
"You're really something else...I didn't expect for you to get worse. Your attitude is even shittier." your voice was harsh, which had him taken aback.
"Look, I'm sorry. I'm not here to rub salt in the wound or anything, but-." you didn't let him finish. You stood up then, "Then what are you here for? Why would I want to talk to you after what happened?" You let out a huff. Aomine looked away momentarily, putting his hands in his pockets.
"I just wanted to say-."
"HEY! What the hell are you doing here?" You both looked towards the source of the shouting to see an aggravated Kagami, along with Kuroko. Both you and the other widened your eyes. Kagami walked right up to him, in his face.
"You should leave. You have no right to talk to her-."
"Kagami, please. It's okay." You stopped him and he looked to you, Aomine taken aback by the both of you. Kuroko stood a good distance away, not able to do anything in this situation.
"Ohh I see. So this is your new boyfriend then? Figures." Aomine chuckled, stepping back, "I see you have a type." he finished.
Kagami followed quickly, "Shut up! You really like running your mouth, don't you-." He stopped, feeling a hand on his back. It was Kuroko.
"There's no point. Let's go."
Kuroko looked between you and Kagami, his gaze was always comforting. You nodded and walked in Kuroko's direction. Kagami grit his teeth and let out a grunt before silently doing the same.
"Well that was quick composure...Kagami. Looks like you're Kuroko's puppy dog, huh?" Daiki didn't fail to continue to tease. You could tell Kagami was about to bite back, but you took hold of his forearm and shook your head. It was best that none of you encouraged him.
The three of you began to walk back towards the stadium building to join the others. You heard Aomine once more.
"I wanted to say that I missed you."
You stopped momentarily at those words, parting your lips. You didn't look back though. It would only make you want to stay. Kagami tugged lightly on your hand then, grabbing your attention as you left Aomine behind. Standing alone in the cold. You admitted to yourself then.
You missed him too.
