~Marin Brooks, entry 4~
“Sup Marina, what have the waves brought you today?” Kai greeted me as he ran the volunteer’s food stand.
“Two voodoo dolls and Oak found some rare crystals.”
Kai whistled. “That fox is certainly resourceful, even though he’s a troublemaker! He really likes you Marina.” He handed me my usual order of grilled fruit. “I hope they sell well today! And hey, maybe stick around for the fireside tonight eh?”
I dug in gratefully, waving. “Thank you Kai, and I’ll try! Might try to get in a swim today too.”

Kai watched as the young woman tended to her stall that day, and indeed, snuck in that swim. Sulani was slowly changing her ways, making her mellow out. Maybe it was just the warm waters...or maybe a certain son of his. Indeed, it could be both...and if so, Kai couldn’t be happier for the two. Marina would be a wonderful wife for someone one day, but he hoped it was for his boy Atoni. Those two were soulmates, he was hopeful.
