With weathered faces and grown children, Generation 4 has officially come to a close
TREVOR: Uhh... Hello?
KAI: Oh, hey! Couldn’t sleep either?
TREVOR: I-- Well, no, I guess not-- I mean--
JESSA: What are you boys doing out this early with no jackets?? You’ll catch a cold! Trevor, why don’t you and your uncle head inside by the fire? I’ll make some hot cocoa--
Kai’s face lights up, opening his mouth to chime in.
JESSA: --with mini marshmallows and whipped cream, I know.
Trevor jumps out of bed as the sun begins to rise on the first rooster. He doesn’t feel any different, nor does he see any signs of a new brother throughout the house. He failed. Again. Trevor drags his feet outside with every intention of dismantling the secret room behind the bookcase, so that nobody living on this farm in the future will ever have to feel his disappointment. He’s walking past the playground when he catches something moving from the corner of his eye. It’s... No, it can’t be!
