One of the perks of being your own boss was the ability to set your own hours, which included closing up shop a little early if you decided you to. That’s exactly what Lilith had done for the day - nothing too out of the ordinary for a Thursday. Business was usually pretty slow during the evening hours anyway. It meant she got an early start on the baking for the next day which also meant she finished everything early. Lil had been closing early more often than not, ever since she and Alex had started dating, but tonight she intended to hang out with Kai, since it had been awhile since they’d last caught up.
They’d agreed to meet at their usual hangout; one of the out of the way bars that tended to be free of tourists more often than not, and Lilith beat her friend by a good twenty minutes, as usual. She didn’t mind though, it was just how he’d always been, and she found it somewhat endearing.
