                   ALONE. It was something that wasn't a foreign concept to the brunette. She'd had many, many obstacles in her life, some of which she had faced alone. But, this move, with Scout, she wasn't alone. She had someone with her, whether they could talk back when she needed it or not, it was good to have someone else with her. But, the other person that seemed to be there was Kai. They seemed to want to be there and if she were honest with herself, something of which she wasn't, she was thankful that there was someone else there too, in a sense. She was just so used to doing everything by herself. Letting out a deep breath, Amelia looked towards Kai "I appreciate that, I do, but I'm just so used to being alone and doing things by MYSELF."

“thank you,” adri beams, bright and cheaper despite the late hour. it’s true and adri’s not exactly sure how to navigate that. not that adri’s the type to hide from attention or anything, far from it as adri’s a social butterfly though and through, it’s just a little off putting. adri practically picked minnesota off a map and the move was more an adjustment than she’d like to admit too. and someone knowing her enough to tell that she looked happier? yeah, it was a lot - good, but a lot. “didn’t get lost even once,” she boasts, picking at the label on her water bottle. “you’re here late or is it early? can never tell with night shifts.”

             LETTING OUT a soft sigh, Amelia stared at the ceiling from where she was laying on the bed. Her surgery had been a success. Or well, she hoped it had been. Her patient had yet to wake up but in every term of it, her surgery really had been a success. But with every neuro surgery, came the waiting game. A waiting game that she had become far too accustomed to in her job. Seeing movement out of the corner of her eye, Amelia smiled faintly, watching as Kai entered the on call room before moving to join her on the bed, cuddling her from the side. "And a hello to YOU TOO."
