Day 28: Inspirations

I had a cool speech in mind about how this is related to the previous entry but im tired
Edit: A couple of days later, here comes the speech! So, above are Acer (or Kai or Kaicyr, I'm having toruble moving on from his working title name) and Ray, who were inspired by Spyro and Sonic respectively. The two bois were a part of an old impro comic among many other popular media characters, but as our interpretations of them slowly turned them into something unique, I felt right at home fixing those copyright infringements when I rebooted the story!
Looks wise, one of them still takes after his source, one much less; as mentioned in the previous post, Sonic was an oddly situational addition in me and my friends' collab comic back in the day. I was never a big fan of that design, so I was happy to just replace him with a repurposed OC of mine (#Roe / #Shad'we / #Dee)
But for ALL THAT EFFORT... now they're actually both dead backstory characters that haunt the narrative without being really present.
Also yes, Ray is Dash and Denver's dad - and in the process of unwillingly becoming one, a victim of a carelessly spoken "wish spell" (for a lack of a better term with the current context)
