I am just like him. Every aspect of me is like him... I can see it in my eyes. I hear it in my voice. I'm almost certain Mami saw him in me and hid that fact when she thought I couldn't see.
Leaves crunched underneath the Lycan's paws. They ached. The animal had been running for so long. Its legs were shaking, the midnight black fur was coated with rain, mud, and leaves. Occasionally it would stop and sit. Its head reared back and a howl followed, piercing through the crisp Washington air.
Maybe he was right. I didn't deserve love. He knew I was going to fuck it up anyways. Guess what, Father?! You were right! I should have listened to you.
The creature of the night raised himself up. With a snarl, it lunged forward at a steady pace. The creatures around it cowered, afraid of such a towering and brooding beast.
Its gold eyes were slowly draining of humanity. Eventually there was no humanity in them at all. It was gone.
And suddenly what was once a man with a family and a soon to be wife, was a lone wolf in the midnight forest.
