"Are you even listening to yourself?"
Turning her face towards the young man and looking up at him with sweet, innocent eyes, HaebByeol blinked a couple of times before tilting her head at his words. “What..? I shouldn’t say that?”
"Do you remember this? Do you trust me?"
Forcing the memory for a few weeks ago, some things slowly returned to her mind covered by a dense fog, but gradually she was able to remember… Her expression indicated that visibly as her large black eyes widened slightly and her mouth half-opened as if she was about to speak, but stopping when that another question hit her. “…But I trust you.” HaeByeol simply said, reaching out and holding his wrist like a child who doesn’t want to be left behind. “I trust you, JongIn-ssi… Why are you saying that?”
"I can’t do this anymore. I guess this is goodbye.”
At JongIn’s words, HaeByeol felt as if her inside was ripped. Goodbye? What he meant by that? She tried to say something, think about something, she wanted to keep him there, but nothing came out. Not even a single word came out of her mouth. Her throat was locked with the anguish and despair of being about to lose a friend for a reason that she didn’t know, and it made her even more scared. “..please…” Finally a broken voice slid down her throat and crossed her pale lips noisily. “..please don’t go, JongIn-ssi…”
