A small box sits in he bear's mailbox, a note laying against it. Inside are a bunch of cat shaped sugar cookies, and the letter reads something along the lines of "Hey, asshole, come over some time. I have too much food... And, Happy Valentine's Day, I guess."
Panda was ready to take a small stroll, a small bag clipped to his stash in preparation of collecting a few trinkets, when he spotted his mailbox slightly different.
Normally the thing would be covered in a thick layer of cobwebs and spiders, something the hybrid wasn’t willing to test fate with cleaning but someone had brushed the resident spiders away from the box.
The bear looked around nervously and inched to the mailbox, hesitating for a moment before pulling the flap down. He was presented with a very plain box snugly fitted into the mailbox.
It took about five minutes of coaxing the box out without tearing up or bending the fragile cardboard. Without much mind to the letter Panda opened up the box and made a happy squeak sound at the contents, shoving a cookie in his mouth without thinking much.
After he finished his cookie he took a bite out of another and skillfully left the gift box to balance on his mail box he opened up the letter. It took a moment to read through it before he neatly folded it up and put it in his bag, the cookies soon following after. Guess his small stroll was going to be a little visit.
Panda was busy patching his leg, hardly noticing the other mumbling at him, but then again, it was unnaturally quiet around in the shed the two survivors were holding up in for the night. Nothing much you can do in the dark, if anything you run a higher chance to get yourself eaten.
After a long moment of nothing, he spoke. “Uh- It’s fine, just, need to keep it bandaged and all that...” Another quiet moment passed as Panda finished up the wrapping by tieing it off, the white fabric already showing red from the wound that just wouldn't colt. It was frustrating.
“Hey, can you pass some pain stuff? I know I’ve been popping the stuff like candy but,” he rubbed his neck nervously, turning to the other, “it kinda hurts a lot.”
