One tradition that Kain did not agree to in the slightest was Mina’s way of sending “greeting cards”. His sister dreads going to places unannounced so must make a grand appearance. She doesn’t want to look at Kain so to make sure he knows she’s there she sends an assassin to kill him. She finds the most expensive assassin in the market, hires him or her, then sends them to their doom. Nine times out of ten the assassin ends up dying, going mad, humiliated, or vows their entire life on carefully killing Kain. This was one of the many reasons why Kain hated his sister. Mina somehow Manages to place a card in the same area every time, the assassin’s pocket. The card, of course, frustratingly had some stereotypical sappy shit. Kain felt loved but he preferred not to be loved by his evil twin sister.
The assassin Mina sent this time was actually multiple assassins. She felt like spicing things up. All the assassins lay dead on the ground as they always do. Kain unwillingly didn’t have any other options. These assassins were smart and stubborn. It was either Kain or the assassins and Kain choosed himself. His hands were bloody and it looked pretty bad from an outsider’s perspective. Kain tensed when he saw someone walk into his murder bath only for him to explain himself.
“It isn’t what it looks like?”
