I got a physical the other day mainly because it’s free. Plus Kaiser kept calling me yo schedule an appointment. I believe only because I had “Major Depressive Disorder” written in my medical record. Physicals are honestly pointless now since all they do is do blood tests so honestly it’s kind of pointless to have a face to face interaction with a doctor anymore unless you do have some concerns. So when I checked into my appointment I was immediately handed a mental health questionnaire, which wouldn’t normally be handed out unless, of course, mental health policies have changed, but typically I had never been handed one until I have complained about anxiety and negative thoughts. So I wrote down my answered and of course I am in recovery but no thanks to Kaiser’s joke of a mental health facility. After my physical, of course the doctor was in a hurry and didn’t bother to ask me if I had any concerns after inputting my blood test requests so I butt in stating that I was not okay with what was listed in my medical records in regards to my mental health. He tells me that he is not concerned with mental health because of my current questionnaire answers and understands where I am coming from. I also explain that the Kaiser mental health facility was no help as the person had diagnosed me with generalized anxiety and told me to attend classs to help with it, disregarding my PTSD symptoms that was confirmed through my works EAP therapy sessions.... so he checks and says well the doctor that referred you to the mental health facility only diagnosed you with anxiety and the second person you saw at the mental health facility diagnosed you with major depressive order. (What a fucking bitch to tell me to my face that she thinks I have general anxiety and then write in my file that I am major depressive). The doctor tells me that is he going to state that I am in full remission and he does. I’m just so fucking pissed off at my whole experience with Kaiser Mental Heath.
