I am the first to admit I am not a patient person. I like everything yesterday. So learning that building muscle takes time or changing my bad habits would take time was not an easy task. Until I was given the tools to implement these processes it all seemed too hard. One of the tools I was given was a Japanese word with Chinese characters. It’s called Kaizen - it means perfect, but not in the way western society sees perfection. You see I like many of us saw perfection as an end result. We all strive for it but it’s not a realistic goal. Kaizen on the other hand, while it means perfection, it gives you a path of acceptance too. It means continually changing and perfecting, gradually changing and correcting. As long as we are taking those small steps each day to be a better version of ourselves.
