Hey! How are you doing? Hope all is well! My favourite weather is when it's snowy and cold. I know many people hate it but I dunno, it's so peaceful to me, coffee shop w/ friends and it's snowing outside? Golden. It's snowing and you're wrapped up inside w/ hot chocolate and a book? Beautiful. Wrapped up in coats and scarves while wandering the Christmas markets? Magical ✨

hi dearie!! I love the picture you painted with your words. Sweater Weather is one of my favorite songs, esp from my high school days (where I ironically lived in a place I hated without snow). It also made me think of a song called Boston by Ryan Mack, which makes me very nostalgic since I’m quarantined away from the city right now.

14. what flower would you like to be given?

My favorite flower is alstroemeria, Lily of the Incas. But my partner LOVES sunflowers, and so that would be the most meaningful for me to receive :) I love receiving what others love because it makes me feel like they’re sharing pieces of their soul with me, instead of just catering to my interests <3 they’re trying to share something that means a lot to them instead of keeping it to themselves!!

22. what would you say to your future self?

I don’t know anything at this point, but I know who I love and I know what I have to do. I hope no matter what, you’ll be proud of me. Even if you cringe a little c;

23. favorite piece of clothing?

really hard, but I like this little white dress with flowers that I bought when I was in Barcelona as a 17yo. It’s not dress code appropriate but it is Florida weather appropriate, and my favorite part about it is it’s made so I don’t wear a bra.

Oh you learn Arabic? That's really cool! How are you finding learning it? Also are you learning modern standard Arabic or another dialect? I'm sorry you're struggling rn, this COVID-19 thing has put many people in pretty crappy situations, but I hope all these precautionary measures will help flatten the curve, and help each country cope better with it.

I do!! I’m in my second semester of MSA :3c I hope to learn the Levantine dialect after two or three years of studying standard, because I know MSA is used in schools and in news, but not in much else. I want to speak what people actually speak, yknow? and I know there’s many dialects but Levantine is prolly what I’ll learn

Yeah, everyone’s situation is different but it’s also comforting that there’s that solidarity to it. We just gotta lift each other up (but from a distance lol). I really want things to be better because of these precautions and for it all to be a bad dream in a couple of months.

Speaking of which, I stress-procrastinated for most (but not all!) of today so I’m going to go back to studying Arabic. I wish you a wonderful day/night and please, please feel free to send me more asks!

Hey! Quarantine is rough, I'm not a fan of the online classes, it doesn't suit my way of learning, but I'm trying to make the most of it! I just finished watching a lecture and now I'm gonna take a break for lunch cause I've got some good leftovers in the fridge lol. How is your day going? How are you finding quarantine thus far?

I definitely feel! I like being separate from my home when I learn and study, it keeps me in the right mindset. I’m glad you’re not giving up, though! My day just started, I finished an online test for Arabic and I have a good few hours to work before my next and final class at 2 PM. Quarantine is really hard because I’m so isolated (I’m trying not to touch my family for the next 2 weeks until we find out if I caught something from travel) and I’m 1200 miles away from my friends and my partner. I am also trying to keep my head high and adapt though, even when my last few days were really draining in all sorts of ways. I have to count all the silver linings though. Some of my friends can’t go home or don’t want to, or are stuck with visa issues. It could always be worse...

Keep me updated please!! I want to hear how you’re doing throughout this.
