Akiota Town, Hiroshima by Visit Hiroshima
The JR Kabe Line once stretched all the way to Sandan-kyo Gorge, one of Hiroshima's famous spots of beauty. This stretch of the Kabe Line became defunct in 2003, but you can still spot the remnants standing quietly in Akiota Town today. You can depart from Kabe Station, following the tracks north to Yasuno Station, then Minochi Station, Tsunami Station, Kake Station, Tonoga Station, and finally Sandankyou Station terminal.
