There’s something special about watching all your hard work come to a head.
Granted, okay, not all of the hard work was hers, exactly. Much of it. Even most of it, if she’s being fair to everyone involved. But! Some of it was hers, and that’s what counts in her mind. After all, if they were the ones planning out this whole thing, can you imagine what a mess it would have been! So she’ll take as much credit as she feels good about taking.
Which is quite a bit of it, to be sure.
The grounds of the Ninth Division look completely different, what with their makeshift dance floor and the wooden stage they’d put together for the happy couple. Trio. Whatever. Not a good place for the ceremony itself, but the perfect place for a wedding reception — and banquet. She’ll have to be sure to profusely thank the Captain for his talents on that one. Just part of the job.
But, now that everything is underway, there’s no harm in enjoying herself!
“Hey, Rei-chan,” she dares, before catching herself. “Sorry, sorry! Fujiwara-fukutaicho. Sounds good, right?”
