Watching all the current leaders of our nation speak; i am in awe: ▶️#TunM - 92 year old PM who led a reformation that has transformed the nation within a week after taking over (he put Malaysia on the map before and he’s done it again in a way that the world will forever remember us as a nation who changed our fate without violence) ▶️#DSAI - finally released from prison and amongst the many first things he does is to give a full blown speech as if it was any other day ▶️#KakWan - the iron lady behind (and beside) DSAI. None of this would have been possible without her. She was strong and fearless for all of us, the beacon of hope when all seemed lost ▶️the #unsungheroes; #limkitsiang, the late #karpalsingh and almarhum #nikaziz - they fought for decades, not knowing if their efforts will ever bear fruit but they never gave up. If they had not sown the seeds they had back then, today would not have been possible I see these people and i wonder where they’re super strength and energy to make this all possible. They’ve sacrificed so much (some even their lives) for this vision of a better nation and they continue to fight on. I cannot fathom what they’ve gone through and the tough decisions they’ve had to make. I can only pray that God gives them the strength to continue the good fight and to do just by us. Let them live long enough to enjoy the fruits of their long, tireless labour, for they deserve it more than we do. For our name is on the map again, this time for all the right reasons. I’ve never been so proud to be Malaysian. I know that many will write about our nation’s journey and that we will be used in case studies worldwide. For once, i am looking forward to reading all of them; #theuprisingofanation #vivalarevolucion #reformasi #inikalilah #inikalibetulbetuljadi (you have #cheguevara we have #chedet)
