The bell rings, as everyone walks to the gates in their desired friend groups. However, you were already at the gate waiting for one tall and stoic teen; your childhood friend Jotaro. You sighed taking a seat on your jacket that you spread onto the pavement knowing well that his arrival will take long since fangirls crowd him every day. You still weren’t sure why though, it’s not like he was rich and outgoing. A hand tapped your shoulder as you were dragged out of your thoughts. Excuse me, are you waiting for someone as well?” You looked at where the voice came from and saw a rather tall red-head. He wasn’t as buff as Jotaro was but he was toned. “Yes, I am.” You patted the concrete beside you smiling. He returned your friendly smile and sat on the ground as well. “I’m waiting for Jotaro, who are you waiting for?” He asked. “I’m waiting for Jotaro too, I didn’t know he had any other friends.” You replied shocked. He chuckled at your expression before stating, “We met yesterday and I stayed over at his house.” “Hmm, that’s odd.” You said as your mind wandered.
“Oh hey Jotaro.” You heard Kakyoin say. You looked up at the tall brooding man. “So which one is going to be your future wife?” You said gesturing to the group of girls in the distance that he managed to escape from. “Yare yare. Leave me be.” He said pulling the cap over his eyes. “We should get on our way,” Jotaro says as you nodded and stood up, dusting off your jacket. “Do you guys mind if I tag along?” Kakyoin said, standing behind us. “If you want to.” Jotaro answered for you as he already began walking. “Hey wait up! I don’t have stilts for legs!” You say as you begin to jog to catch up to the two giants.
The walk there was pretty decent as a few words were exchanged here and there and you enjoyed the beautiful scenery. You hugged Jotaro goodbye as he pats your back slightly awkwardly. “See you tomorrow!”He nods in response before continuing up the street to his place. “Are you going this way as well?” Kakyoin asked as he gestures towards the street your house was on. “Yes I am, do you live here too?” You asked him as you both followed the sidewalk. “I do.” He smiled at you. ‘His smile is pretty cute.’ You think to yourself as you blushed lightly and smiled back. “Would you like to come over?” You asked shyly. He looked a bit taken back but he nodded with a faint smile. “I would, thank you.” He bowed a bit.
You unlocked the gate and he held it open for you as you shuffled through your keys trying to find the one for the front door. Reaching the door, you unlocked it and motioned for him to enter. He removes his shoes and you follow his actions. “You have a lovely place.” He said glancing around. “Thank you, would you like something to drink?”You ask him kindly as he sat on a cushion at the small table in the living room. “Do you have any tea? If not, I can drink whatever else you have.” You hear him say as you grab a kettle and start up the stove to put it on. You grab a tray and put the tea cups and kettle on it, and grabbing sugar/milk/other with it. Placing it down onto the table, you sit in front of him. “How long have you known Jojo?” Kakyoin says breaking the silence. “We’ve been friends since we were kids,” You begin. “Everyone thinks that he’s changed a lot, but deep down he’s still the same Jotaro I’ve known for years.” He smiled at you, catching you off guard.
Within a few weeks, you and Kakyoin have gotten closer and it's become a habit of both of you to stop at your place after school to chat and have some tea.
You woke up, hitting the snooze button on your phone. But there wasn’t an alarm. Someone was calling you. You picked up the phone, “Hello?” You say. “(Y/N), would you mind coming over?” It was Kakyoin speaking. You look over at the time, ‘3:15 AM’ it read. “Kakyoin, it’s 3 in the morning. Why do you want me to come over?” “It’s a bit of an emergency..” He says hesitantly. With this, you kicked off your blankets and grabbed a sweater and your shoes.
Opening the front door you almost slip on the pavement since it was pouring rain. You threw open the gate, not worrying about shutting it as you jogged up the street to his house. For whatever reason, you jump the gate and burst through his front door, drenched. “Is everything okay?” You said frantically as you found him just sitting on the floor with a tea tray in front of him. He stood up upon seeing your appearance and grabbed a towel, handing it to you. “Yes everything’s fine, I just have some important news to share with you.” He begins as you sit across from him. He pours you tea. “What’s the news?” You said, taking the cup into your hands letting it warm you up. “Well...Jotaro and I, plus a few others.. We’re heading to Egypt shortly. I’ll be gone tomorrow so I wouldn’t have been able to make it to our tea session.” He said. You looked surprised for a bit then you started laughing. “If you were so worried about not having our tea sessions, you can still drink tea in Egypt.” You waved your hand. “It’s not really about the tea.” He said silently, you almost missed it. “Huh? Then..why would you..” You gestured to the tea. “I wanted to be in your company once more before I left. It was nice that your voice was the first thing I heard today.” He said, smiling warmly at you. You felt your face warm up as you stared at him speechless. He stared back, affectionately. “When I come back from Egypt, will you be my girlfriend?” You nodded and he moved next to you, hugging you tightly as if this was the last time he would ever see you again.
