It's my most romantic commission ever
So, I made an illustration for a fanfiction about the feelings between Maiev and Illidan. The only question is why Blizzard didn't make them a couple officially. Are they too perfect?

C0mm for @vipsuvr of their OC Namissa! Hope you like her :D
I recently heard something from my friend that genuinely surprised me: apparently, many players consider the night elves to be the most arrogant race in WoW
I fundamentally disagree with that. In my opinion, many players confuse arrogance with xenophobia. And the night elves' xenophobia is perfectly understandable if you look at the events of Warcraft III (even if Blizzard no longer considers it canon, that's where the roots of the night elves' behavior come from)
Imagine living on a secluded continent for thousands of years, mostly in the forests. You keep to yourselves (aside from occasional conflicts with the trolls), rarely leave your homeland, and have minimal contact with the other races of Kalimdor
Then, one day, unknown ships begin arriving. Green-skinned orcs land on your shores, followed by humans, your long-lost elven kin, and members of other races. Everything changes—and not for the better
Their arrival coincides with the invasion of the Burning Legion (which, from the night elves' perspective, can hardly seem like a coincidence), the orcs begin cutting down the forests, and they even kill Cenarius (yes, I know only his physical form died—but this is Blizzard; they'll resurrect almost anyone)
Of course it would be incredibly difficult to trust these newcomers
Even though everyone eventually united against a common enemy, the night elves paid an enormous price for that victory. They sacrificed Nordrassil and their immortality to defeat Archimonde
And then, only a few years after the war, they find themselves fighting the orcs on their own lands once again. To have any chance at all, they're forced to join the Alliance ("the enemy of my enemy is my friend")
It makes perfect sense that many night elves would want things to go back to the way they were and see the new status quo as deeply unfair. They weren't invading anyone else's lands or bringing disaster upon other races, so why can't everyone simply leave them alone?
That frustration is what they end up directing toward the other races
yesterday (6/4) was one of my oc's birthdays! this is Hana Moonsong, my Night Elf Hunter from WoW! she fought in the War of the Shifting Sands and realised "bro these bugs are literally just living their life" and has fought for arthropods ever since. here's her and her buggy bestie Lady Sathrah exploring their new home of Amirdrassil!
