Basically edge splitting on a solidified mesh
For this you will need S4 and game packs if you own any, then register at sims 4 studio to get this but this is the easiest way to convert things because TSRW messes things up as @simplyimaginarypeople can tell you.
1). Your ethier going to go to “My projects and select a package file you’ve downloaded for S4 or if you want something from game packs or base game “object” as shown in the second picture opening the package file I want
2) It’ll look something like this, go down to expoert and export the texture, each time an image is exported in a folder it’ll pop up (get annoying sometimes)
3) go to meshes and export the mesh, exporting and that also will pop infolder whereever you’ve saved it
Then you can open it up in blender export it as an object, open it up in milkshaope, make a mask spec, ect and you get the point if your farmilar with objects
Getting rid of seam lines and shadow from meshes
1) Import the mesh, you it will ethier be black or showing normal faces 2) go algin normals if you don't have it download it from MTS you can google it make sure you have tick "auto smooth" and select the mesh or it won't work this will get rid of the shadow on the mesh from edge split in blender 3) rename incase you import thr body and it just becomes one mesh and import the body, as you can see you that if you have it ticked on auto smooth it shows you the seam lines on the body what we don't want to see 4) select it and untick auto smooth and you should have no seam lines on the body, this works for all body meshes and feet meshes and custom body and feet 5) regroup and name it "group_base" and your done and ready to do the bones and morphs
making a texture using seamless textures and images
1. open your image in photoshop or gimp and then open up your seamless texture and paste it and make it an overlay then on your original texture select all and you should be left with the image 3
2 then build the actual texture is taking real life images and removing most of it apart from the seams lines and making the layer luminosity should be left with image 5 without luminosity
3, keep repeating the process for everything and you should be left with image 6
4 you can do the same for adding creases to make the texture look more semi-realistic
5. flatten image play with brightness contrast and select bits you want lighter ect and then yeah make black white and your pretty got to textures one non recolour and one recolour
