Fire and Tar

"What are you doing?"

Loki didn't look up from the raised pool-like tub he was leaning over the edge of at the intruding flame and the loaded question, tipping his finger into the red mixture that filled the large tub before bringing it to his lips. He released a hum at the blend of blood and raised his brows at the taste. 

It wasn't quite right, he could still taste himself more than anything.

“Loki.”

Loki's eyes rolled over the nearly full tub, tapping his finger against his lip and ignoring her. When the sound of the goddess's tapping boot on the tile floor behind the fallen celestial didn't stir him, Kali rolled her eyes.

"Gabriel."

At the hiss of his first name, power cracked through the room, and the fallen archangel turned his head to the goddess's unwavering glare. "Mind your tongue," he bit out in a cold tone, looking over his shoulder at her. "Sam is coming over." He matched her glare as his corrupted grace twisted and sharpened within his vessel.

Kali snorted, her arms crossing over her chest as her chin lifted. "So you have decided to continue keeping it from your pet?" She questioned.

Loki didn't look away from her, still glaring as his lips pressed into a flat line. She nodded slightly, midnight locks shifting over her slim shoulders at the motion.

"I don't disagree,” she started, “I don't think you should be waltzing this line at all."

"You've said,” he replied with a bored disgruntled roll of his eyes. “Many, many times."

"And I will say so many more times.” She looked from him to the pool of blood raising her voice and waving a demanding hand at the concoction. "So I will repeat my question for your old ears, what are you doing?”

"I am experimenting- filling the endless empty years, like always dear." Loki didn't look at her unaffected by her furious protectiveness and suspicion. “My toy is breaking,” he added in a somber voice, snapping his fingers and adding more blood from a raging god Sam had stored for a rainy day. "He is unstable, my blood seems to help for a while, but he can't keep eating me."

She scoffed at the obvious and the blonde glanced at her, both knowing that the more the college student ate, the higher the likelihood of Sam discovering their well-kept and shared secret. 

"Fool.” Kali snorted, shaking her head at his plan to conceal the unique raw cosmic energy and pagan magic in a cocktail of younger beings. 

“Bitch.” 

Kali rolled her eyes, the corner of her lips twitching up. Her hands found her hips as chocolate orbs found Loki. “I'm serious, Lulu.” Her gaze rolled over his vessel as he focused on his project, turning slightly to face him, her gaze critical.

If you think that in your ranking system a character is at the top of your list and is your favorite, then you should vote for S tier. If you think that a character is good but not your favorite, then it's A tier. And so on (only exceptions are E tier and H tier, I think that they just kind of represent mixed feelings).
