Imagine my face when Kaln, my precious boy I have known since I was 13, sits down and lays an egg. I’m going to be laughing about this until next WEEK.

I think his wingtip caught my face in this one. Kaln, European/Eurasian Eagle Owl.

I went back to my old workplace the other day. European/Eurasian Eagle Owl, ‘Kaln’.

I posted the photo of Kaln (bottom) recently but I wanted to compare him with his younger brother, Turner (top). It’s hard to tell from these but Turner has a much whiter chest and to me, a softer expression, whereas Kaln is a Blue Steel kind of poser.  It’s always a joy to fly them together, as long as they don’t collide midair or Turner doesn’t hide from the buzzards in the barn!
