I decided to read Priory of The Orange Tree and let me tell yall, I expected a lot of things in regards to the true origin of the Berethnet dinasty, but I trully did not expect it to be an ancient evil sorcerer who fell in love with her own adoptive son, so she disguised herself as his unrequited love interest, married him and had a daughter

Samantha Shanon really got me there, my chin fell to the floor while reading

Okay I'm 300 pages into A Day of Fallen Night and here's what I think is happening:

If you want to read this book on your own and don't want spoilers skip this.

Glorian we already know is a descendent of Kalyba so that's why she felt the eruption cuz of her mageblood

Which makes me wonder if her mother also felt the eruption

Wulf ALSO has mageblood bc he fainted on the day of the dreadmount eruption

Wulf is in fact Tunuva's supposedly "dead" son that Kalyba/Canthe/Whatever the fuck her name is kidnapped for some reason (no body no death)

Dumai, Kanifa, and Nikeya have just taken off for Sepul and I 100% guarantee Dumai and Nikeya are about to have an enemies to lovers arc a hundred percent

I still can't decide if Glorian is going to get a love interest but if she is then I don't think they've been introduced yet

Honestly I hope she doesn't my aroace queen

Thrit and Wulf are gay as fuck

Glorian and Dumai have some sort of dream link (faceless figures in their dreams, "i'm on an island" "i'm also on an island" aka Seiiki and Inys)

Canthe is absolutely sending Tunuva those dreams about Esbar killing her
