i think it’s mostly about his face shape and also under eye lines though
the boxy jaw reallllly makes things look like (anime) serizawa. manga serizawa is different. but also the little eye lines make him look way older (i constantly struggle with making reigen look like the 30 yo man that he is bc he has neither of these)
