There might be a flood situation in my city. They are evacuating the lower areas, may reach our houses in just under a day. It's raining like there's no tomorrow and my grandfather just won't stop narrating his near-death experience from 50 years ago(he had to carry his bike over his head and run for dear life when the bridge he was crossing was hit by ravenous waters)

Anyway, I'm reading Kamayani by Jayshankar Prasad. Published in 1936, it's an epic poem about the aftermath of an apocalypse of disastrous proportions, about a man(Manu- the last one standing, his name literally means Mind/soul in Hindi) he's going to meet several characters throughout his journey from utter despondency and depression to profound happiness and nirvana.

Each character has a chapter named after them, they're basically emotions, thoughts and actions.

Chinta (Anxiety)

Asha (Hope)

Shraddha (Reverential belief, Faith, Virtue of being a woman)

Kama (Sexual love)

Vasna (Passion for material pleasure)

Lajja (Shyness)

Karma (Action)

Irshyaa (Jealousy)

Ida (Logic, Intellect)

Swapna (Dream)

Sangharsh (Internal conflict)

Nirved (Disregard of worldly things, Renunciation)

Darshan (Philosophy, Vision)

Rahasya (Hidden knowledge, Mystery)

Anand (Bliss, Self-realization, Shiva)

25 Dead as Kamayani, Janata Express Trains Derail in Madhya Pradesh

At least 25 people have been dead after the Kamayani Express from Mumbai to Varanasi and the Mumbai-Jabalpur Janata Express derailed near Kudawa railway station, Madhya Pradesh on last Tuesday night.
