Another fun fact post!!

Ross and Kamelia aren't REALLY that close, but they have a slightly better relationship than she does with Roy (who always seems annoyed at her for something anytime they talk due to how teasing she can be.) Ross can also be surprisingly quite a good influence on her though, considering he comforts her a bit during her short where she goes around trying to talk to people due to Kevin being unavailable, and each and every one of them seems busy (except for Ross toward the end.) While Kamelia can be a quite light-hearted force for him, and also indulges in his interests (like metal) due to how chill she is with everything.

Also, Kamelia calls him 'froggy' because she saw a picture of him as a baby in a frog onesie, which she found absolutely hilarious due to his rather blank face in the picture. So now she calls him that as a teasing nickname./lh

Listen, I love that Amelia wanted to talk to Maggie about her new crush, not only because it confirmed for us that Amelia actually liked Kai, but because of the levity of it, of having a crush. 

All of Amelia’s relationships have been so heavy right from the start and have honestly gone from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye before eventually crashing and burning. She’s never had the opportunity to have just a simple crush because the circumstances surrounding her relationships have really forced her to go from not having that relationship to that relationship being everything. 

Kai though, with Kai, it’s different. There’s no pressure there, no agenda... for the first time in a long time, Amelia isn’t trying to hide from anything  or to lose herself in a relationship in an attempt to ignore the pain caused by something else. Amelia simply has a crush, and she wants to talk about it, wants to revel in it. I actually LOVE the metaphor that can be developed from the fact that Amelia and Kai’s thing has become walks, because that’s really what their relationship is, a nice, steady, easy walk, no destination in mind, and it works. It was very fitting that the last line of Amelia’s meditation was about a calm that never existed before, because that’s Kai for Amelia... I definitely think she made that realization in that moment, that Kai makes her feel calm, makes her feel safe, and makes her feel like she doesn’t have to be anything she doesn’t want to be. 

Just ugh. I am so freaking excited to see where this relationship goes.
