He says "akumademo" which is not the same as "akuma." Read Magenta's Twitter for more info. The meaning behind the two interpretations of that line are completely, totally different. I hear "ore wa akuma nimo," of which the only part I would change might be to "even if I was the/a devil" In either case I really don't see a huge difference between the two given interpretations.
In both cases he is just telling Kouta he has no choice but to be used for his machinations. In Aesir's sub it is a bit more ambiguous with the English colloquialism. In TV-Nihon, it is a literal translation of what he says. From my experience with both, TV-Nihon is frequently more literal, especially when it comes to names. Comparatively, Aesir is more processed for the English speaking (generally American) viewer.
Both have their positives and negatives in these approaches, but I would not go so far as to say that one sub or the other is in some way grossly misinterpreting what is being said on screen. If you can think of some other examples where you see this being the case, I would really like to compare them, but as far as this scene is concerned, I do not see or hear a fundamental difference that would lead to a misunderstanding of what Sagara means.
Also, who is Magenta? I do not see them in this post, unless they are going by another name on Tumblr.
