hmmm... not sure if this is "unpopular" but i strongly dislike using labels for aesthetics, like "___ core" because i feel like it makes a lot of ppl feel like they need to be defined into egirl or cottagecore... and sometimes it's really not necessary and it makes ppl who actually have a personal style look "weird" or the least fashionable person in the room??? idk, and it's like oh if u love animals and have plants in ur room then you're cottagcore blah blah it's so messy TwT it really stops people from finding their own style and i feel like it's really tiring to tailor yourself to fit in whatever aesthetics u like. idk and don't even get me started on how fast these mfing trends come and go which contributes madly into overconsumerism and a lot of ppl who buy into these trends will probably never wear the clothes they bought ever again bc it’s not trendy >_< i don’t think wanting to be trendy is a bad thing, it’s just harmful to the environment, which is something we should all be considered about 👍 i think those names and labels are very helpful to find what you like but it can be a lil harmful sometimes :-)
