“Thank you,” he replied quietly, offering the kid a smile as he took the chocolates.

He would offer to let Asuka eat some, but he was pretty certain that he’d eaten plenty in the process of making them.

"Hibari-sama!" The small child chirped, presenting a box neatly wrapped in a purple, sparkly ribbon. Inside he'd find a small, white kitten plush. While it was a pretty simple gift, Asuka seemed all too excited to see what he thought of their efforts.

Hibird’s eagerness was barely contained; they were practically jumping when they handed Hibari his present.

He took care to open it, systematically. When he saw the small plush, he gave the kid a small smile.

“Thank you, little one.” He’ll keep it on the side of his dresser.

“Your feet are wet, little animal,” he said simply, sparing a glance at Hibird’s feet. Hibari took his shoes off and stepped into the house, donning slippers instead, and carried Hibird straight to the bathroom, not hesitating in the slightest, if he didn’t have a child in his arms. 

Hibird had been running around, and almost had not noticed before bringing water and dirt into the house. It happened from time to time; Hibari did his best not to get mad at the kid for doing it too often, as the little bird was usually very mindful of it, anyway.
