As soon as I saw them online on Surugaya (after losing that opportunity of getting a 1996 seiyuu magazine- until next time, I hope), I couldn’t simply pass it out.
The Bibacomi were VERY obvious, as I really don’t have that much that was related to the finished radio program (except the Undokai part one DVD... and the 2nd DVD that is still on my pending list of “buy this”), and Suba rarely appears on professional magazine shoots... and Tonozaki is just starting his voice acting career.
The Subaru!Holland ones have a different story as I really didn’t discuss that much before about an specific incident that sadly cost me his bromide set and Yoshioka Yu (Devimyu’s Mage)’s to be lost in the mail. So, I decided to buy new (second-hand) ones. I only have one or two pictures lost from Suba!Holland (one -from the professional photoshoot- wasn’t in Surugaya, and the other from the stage that was out of stock/sold out). I will consider getting the ones from Yoshioka in the closest future, when I can.
I was tagged somewhat a while by @greengargouille, but didn’t have the time to write thoughts and feelings about the next characters due to work’s time constraints. but hey, now you know that sometimes is better to say “I cannot explain how much I love them” instead of writing walls of text (not that I’m complaining, though).

Corrector Yui - Synchro. My love towards Synchro has been there since I first saw the anime. I always loved his loyalty towards Yui and the sacrifice he sometimes put himself into (especially the times he does it for Yui! I mean, it was shipping fuel before I knew what was “shipping fuel”! I dunno, part of me would have loved to see him more in his original form, but oh, well. He is one of my first proofs that I simply incline more to mysterious characters since I was a kid ^^;
Dance with Devils - Nanashiro Mage. The thing I came first for dandebi was mostly the seiyuu (and it is a great cast, tbh), but I was initially too scared about Mage (I was getting too into Subaru’s voice work) because I thought he may turn to be so hateable. The initial profile release info (which may have been mistranslated, though) didn’t help. But then… the guy turned out to be a huge DORK, and I… you tsundere devil! Even in the otome game, his good endings are very “feel good”. Very fluffy. The guy gives me very fluffy feelings.
Sket Dance - Yuuki Reiko. I can kinda figure out a top 5 of characters from the series, and even after all this time since the manga ended, she is still one of my faves. I always liked that her design was different than the usual cutesy girls that Shinohara makes (this is even extended to Astra, too), and I still like her development. Like I always point out, I adore that she wasn’t just a rival that loathed another character (Switch in this case) and that she also had respect for him. It was always mutual, despite what these two claim, because context exists.
Gravity Falls - Mabel Pines. I like her optimism. I wish I could get into more deeper but that’s the thing with her that I can easily mention. I just… simply love her optimism and her sibling relationship with Dipper?
Gintama - Shimura Shinpachi. Last time I did one of these, I mentioned that Kagura was one of my favorites (she is not *the* but one of them), but this time I picked Shinpachi… mostly because sometimes I identify with him, in the aspect that he is considered plain (in-universe and out), and still he manages to show the opposite. Even though Sorachi showed that he can get a big spotlight moment last year… HE DESERVES MORE THIS YEAR, GARRRGHH.
Sweetness and Lightning - Inuzuka Tsumugi. The marvelous thing about Sweetness & Lightning is mostly Tsumugi, hands down. I really wish the anime wasn’t sorta concluded in its own right, but continued more the storyline of the manga (because I quick read some chapters a few months ago) in the future because Tsumugi keeps growing little by little as time keeps progressing in the series. It’s very heartwarming to see her through new experiences, and AHHH…
Mob Psycho 100 - Reigen Arataka. Here is the thing with Reigen, though. He is one of my fave characters that I tend to relate to. Especially now that I’m getting older. There are times that I question myself if I’m in the right road of a career, and there are times that I wonder if I’m fully satisfied with my choices. Maybe I’m not waiting to a Mob to appear and tell me that I’m inspiring them to become a better person (w/psychic powers, but), maybe what I really want is to have some mutual inspiration I guess? to become a better person (professionally and the usual). Because that’s one of the qualities that I like from Reigen, too. Mob’s presence in his life (despite his still continuous con artist act) really changed his life, and that makes him happy most of the time.
Uchuu Kyoudai - Itou Serika. It’s also been a while since last time I read or even watched UK and, I think Serika clicked more faster with me when it’s revealed that she was pursuing an space career to find a cure for the same sickness that took out her father (and her flashbacks made me cry because I also have a very close relationship to my dad, and there are times that I wonder what would happen if… hahah, I’m actually crying when writing this…). I find it unfair when people criticize her, because her character isn’t mostly related to food or the fact that she is also a big eater, she is also willing to help people a step at a time.
Assassination Classroom - Okajima Taiga. I love the Class 3-E students quite a lot. Okajima is one of them, and… WELL, it’s a bit complicated to say why he is one of them (yes, I was also influenced by my seiyuu biases, surprise, surprise) but I think part of it is that he is so ridiculous at time, and I really enjoyed that (although he did give me a LOT of second hand embarrassment in his KoroQ portrayal)? Sure, he is the perv, the very obvious one at that who has the BIGGEST (dis)advantage to make his things happen. But he has a photographic talent and it also helped the rest of the class to get out from some situations. At last, but not less important, I am thankful to the great voice gods that Ryo-san was cast as him, since Okajima was the latest recent and regular character he has had for a while… and it is going to take a while until I hear news of another regular character voiced by him…
Ace Attorney - Ema Skye. I don’t know what clicked on me when I started to play AA on the DS, when I started liking her. I think what I eventually liked her was her grumpy self in AA4, although it brings another topic in the table as I remember WAAAAY before AA5 was announced that people disliked what happened to Ema in the AA4 game. I know AA4 is a “dark” game when we consider that Phoenix was disbarred and how the justice system collapsed just after that… and poor Ema, became a detective instead of becoming what she really wanted to. So, I don’t know… maybe I’m empathic because I fear for failure and all… good to know the team behind AA6 reinvindicated her character (AFAIK, since I haven’t played it), so all is good in the world, as my own hopes.
Packages that luckily were already shipped before Japan Post started to suspend most of their shipping services internationally. Also, late birthday gifts that I bought/bid before disaster hit (and the currency exchange rates started to crash, lmao).

Pick-Up Voice issue w/Kimura Subaru and Asanuma Shintaro in the cover (the reverse cover features Fukuyama Jun), that I was considering lost already, until I caught a nice (and decent!) auction bid (and it came with a tokuten bromide) in late February. I kinda wish it was available through my usual outlets (and amzn.jp kinda hates me nowadays), but, I suppose patience gave me a reward. (Not pictured is the 2nd clear folder featuring FukuJun)
King Jungle pamphlet from June 2014 which was hosted by Kimura Subaru and Ono Yuuki. It came with, I suppose was the standard bromide set sold during that event (funnily enough, I don’t understand why many photo editors back in the day retouched Subaru’s lovely cheek’s beauty mark... it’s one of his charming points, gdi!) I also won this auction, lol. I couldn’t have passed the opportunity (and would have been understandable if I lost it... hahah... but the bidding was also a decent cheap price).

The TV Person magazine has a VERY, VERY lovely photoshoot with Subaru, too! Although, I also loved Kawanishi Kengo’s. Hit two birds with one stone! (wish I could have gotten the June 2019 issue, as well, because they had interviews and photoshoots with the Seiyuu to yo Asobi 2nd season seiyuu personalities ;u;)
OH, and Continue as well! The cover w/Suba was my (priority) reason to get it! And I should say that it is a lovely and cute magazine, lol. I love the size, the printing! The details! If the magazine publishing industry wasn’t that much dead in the west, I wish they still had this quality (music magazines I used to buy REALLY had this same quality, I must say. But I stopped buying them when a) prices started to rise and b) the quality of some started to slowly decay).
I wish I could do a couple of more purchases, but for this past few months, this is pretty much it.
It’s one of those times again where I’m seriously, seriously thinking on what should I do with that one JPN preorder thing.
Like... I understand the risks. I’m not really sure if spending money on it right in the moment due to what is going on and what might happen later on... but the clock is still ticking and... yeah, things are erratic and they are going to be even more... and... *sigh*.
This might be such a reckless decision and even maybe me asking for help on guidance, but here I am, doing it.
What should be better (besides probably dropping the subject until things get a tiny bit more stabilized from either side) - getting on touch with a person offering proxy service or just straight with a company that provides it?
I have been thinking a lot on these two options, because the latter is my “of course, go for it” option as it’s more “direct”. But doing it with a person in a fair constant direct communication (and, perhaps flexibility negotiation?) might be better option.
Especially since I’m thinking that things might get more erratic and uglier in the upcoming few months. I’m sure as hell quarantine is going to last longer both here in my country and in Japan as well. I’m more or less certain that this thing might get delayed or even cancelled by the time its release date is even reached (which is late June)... so, then, how could I ask for a refund if “cancellation” is ultimately fulfilled?
And I’m depending in how the currency exchange rate is going through (spoiler: it freaking sucks living in Mexico right now). It’s pretty fun :)))..
On the other hand, having the thing with someone I SHOULD and COULD trust is better than trusting in a company’s warehouse storage service unless they extend their free service considering how things might get by then =_=.
I had a temporary limit date to do the preorder (especially since it is a Limited Edition set), but tbh... I am very doubtful in doing it by then... so my next “limit” is by very late April... or if things get better by May (they will not, that’s for sure).
So, I kinda want to ask for tips, I suppose. In case of doing it through a person living in Japan at the moment, I’m also really considering what the other person might get through, too. It’s too early to tell for a reservation/preorder, after all, but if the thing gets through its release date, I suppose there’s that.
I’m reckless in asking for this, but perhaps it’s one of the last few heavy purchases I might do in the entire year due to obvious grim reasons that are near by, because all I want to have on mind by the time the situation out there gets “stable”, I get a quick job. but, I don’t want to make this post a “sob story about me” for selfish reasons. I also have been attempting to convince myself to get the normal edition instead, but I also come with the same problems :| even if it’s “cheaper”.
I wish I wasn’t too afraid of PayPal in doing direct money transactions right now, but that’s also another whole story that might get easily solved, *sigh*

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Not that much, at least as of lately. The way some fandom interact w/each other (making some kind of hive mind as majority) has made me dislike some fandoms, but in all honesty is not as frequent as I expect. My simple solution is ignoring them.
I mean, not everyone is a bad apple, but at the same time when there’s a certain toxicity (especially in fandoms I’m even in!) I prefer to isolate myself from them (case in point, and only example I will add is Gint*ama… I love most of the opinions and I tend to ignore drama… but when there is so, SO much toxicity towards charas, ships, and the people who like them…? brb, I’ll be on the sidelines).
C - A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can’t.
I think there are some (especially popular ones… maybe some canon ones) that I often wonder why I don’t ship them. Perhaps, it’s the way I don’t see it working? The dynamics? The chemistry? Or the way fandom made it a “thing”? (Or if I’m petty enough to not even like it, lmao.)
I also greatly ended up disliking some pairings for one or some reasons (even if those ships were incredibly “lowkey”), too.
I rarely have new ships nowadays (unless ‘x’ ship in fandoms REAAALLY gets into my heart), so there’s that, too (again, dynamics, chemistry and all that comes into play).
E - Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?
I think I answered soemthing into these lines before, lol. I legit don’t know (or remember) if there has been anything hilarious enough I have added to any of my fandoms. I share the sentiment of some of my silly headcanons if they resonate with others… but my definition of “silly” is sometimes not even that “hilarious”, lol.
F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it?
Kinda proudly to say it has been Corrector Yui. 16 years and counting. Even though I don’t have that much to offer besides the sporadic fanart or idea for a fic that I have been trying to come up with but haven’t even written due to stuff.

L - Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?
OOOH, boy. If I could (I have several fave fanartists, but the language barrier is in between), an idea for a doujin collab, probably?. Maybe I could just give an overall outline of what I may want (shipping, with fluffy stuff and probably some sm*ut 👀), and build something from there on with them.
O - Choose a song at random, what ship does it remind you of?
Diggy-MO’’s “GIRL MY” gives me some MeiRitsu (Mage x Ritsuka) vibes.
I only wish there were some basic ENG translation for the lyrics (or me understanding them), but google-san kinda gives me an idea of what the song is about: a guy is basically singing “you are my world and I will take you to the stars” to a girl he likes so much.

Here is the thing, if I say I rarely ship nowadays… then it’s even more rare that I ship m/m and f/f pairings. ^^;
Some ships that I like are Agata and Tsubaki (SukeDan), Shitenhouji’s Baka Pair (Yuuji and Koharu, Tenipuri), SugaMi (AnKyou), and Haruka and Michiru (Sailor Moon).
