Lord Peter Flint discussing rifles in Warlord No. 75, 1976.
The British Rifle No. 4 Mk 1 was a variant of the Lee-Enfield rifle.
Lee was from James Paris Lee, firearms designer, and Enfield from the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield.
Interesting point about the telescopic sight being designed for use on the Bren gun is that, for a light machine gun, the Bren could fire single shots very accurately.
The 'en' in both Bren and Sten gun also referred to Enfield.
The KAR 43 is, as any Call of Duty fan can tell you, better known as the Gewehr 43 or simply the Gewehr.
