Somehow, Cassidy and his children were spared from the events from the festival.  The man had hardly any money to spend and they left early to play games at his apartment.  Little did he expect an explosion to go off and the town to ensue in chaos.  Talk about luck.

Little did he know his sisters and other parts of his family were caught up in the commotion.  Things have been rather busy with work, trying to get school supplies for his twins and dealing with other things that he neglected to call anyone.  One reason he was standing outside the door of Kara’s place.  Despite much of his personality and how he acted at times, he loves his family.

“It’s me,” he said, trying to speak through the door to see if she was home.  “Just wanted to check in before I go to my shift, if you have some time.”

Cayla blew into the cafeteria fifteen minutes late for lunch. She had been up all night with Miguel, 'scavenging' through another poor dead person's house. Multiple bags hung from her shoulders-- The leather one that her mother had bought her for work, the pink and yellow one from school, a plan white tote that was stuffed with clothes Miguel had told her would look 'stunning'-- They weighed her down as she huffed and puffed her way through Prometheus's hallways and into the large dining hall that she and the rest of the grunts spent their meal times at.

Cayla looked sweaty and bedraggled, obviously sleep deprived, but her smile was still firmly in place. "Sorry," she said, "I was out all night with Mr. Cardosa--" Cayla's words were broke off with a yawn as she dumped all her bags into a pile with a yawn. She dropped into her chair, rolling her shoulders. "He gave me the rest of the day off, but I didn't want to miss you. What's for lunch?"
