First, she acquired the cheeseburgers. She picked one of her favorite restaurants, and ordered up three, with all the fixings and fries on the side. With the bag in hand, she ducked into an alleyway, and concentrated on finding Kara’s mind. It was difficult, locating someone she had only met through text, but her work with Charles was paying off. When she felt the right mind, she focused on it, swirling her hand in front of her to open a portal.
Then she stepped into the hospital room. She quickly hid the bag behind her back. “Hi there,” she said softly, not wanting to wake the sleeping figure in the bed. “You must be Kara.” She double checked to make sure no nurses were coming by, doing a quick mind scan of the general wing, and then she held out the bag. “Operation Cheeseburger can be called a success,” she said, smiling gently.
