I think I get the feeling. In my case those kinds of feelings come from having been made fun of relentlessly for my interests (especially creative stuff like OCs and RP) as a kid.

I almost had the opposite problem: no one to talk to about my interests for years.

But then I was a boring child.

How do you deal with it?

In SWTOR there’s also a few other examples like on Corellia the PC can be a gross misogynist to a woman CEO or whatnot. Also on one of the Imp orbital stations if you have a female PC, there’s a cool high ranking lady you can bond over for being a fellow powerful woman in this world of men. Which is cool but troubling, like what the heck is it that bad?
