Forget-me-nots in my brain canon are the peak KaraNozo flower. Btw.

For no reason other than I like to give Karamatsu repressed baggage, whenever planning KaraNozo stories I like to hint at Karamatsu having been at the receiving end of some not great romantic attention that he just never bothered to unpack. Namely:

Since in the movie we see Dobusu chasing him with a mask, that's eventually broken to reveal, well, Dobusu, I've personally taken to interpreting it as Karamatsu having forced himself to not think about Some Things that made his psyche remember her like a big, aggressive menace that's chasing him.

AKA I think she may have been interested in him, and was a bit too aggressive in her approach. May or may not have been a result of her inexperience and Karamatsu's own timidity as a teen.

Then, with Jigzou (you know, the puppet that tried to kidnap him bcs he was salty about Kara winning a role over him) I usually picture him as having A Thing for Karamatsu. He liked him, he was angry about liking his (one-sided) rival, he bullied him out of frustration. Kara may or may not have suspected something, but honestly Jigzou was so intense that he failed to say anything.

With his flower fairy, again it's just a headcanon but I like to imagine that the reason why she looks like Dobusu was influenced by his subconscious. I know this is most likely just a case of the Osomatsu-san staff recasting side characters for other roles; I still think it'd be interesting if there was another justification.

And then, I don't count it as a bad relationship, but I do like to imagine that Kara has baggage from a failed relationship with Chibita. As much as I'm obsesseeeeeed with Karabita, I can see many ways in which their RS could fail, and most of them are rooted in Kara's proven inability to commit to change without losing steam.

With a side of his still latent timidity, too -- In fanon we like to portray Chibita as being an ever suffering martyr to Kara's extra antics, and I love it; That said, I think the canon record shows that most of the time Chibita's effusiveness and strong personality will bulldoze over Kara's feeble attempts at indirectly saying he wants out (see: Kidnapping skit when he gets tied in front of his house, Trying to initiate Kara into oden skit, Oden Maid skit, etc).

I ran out of steam to finish this post LOL. Final word is just, Karamatsu's so funny with his blue rose colored view of romance. I keep thinking back to his self-awareness orb. He's looking at life through a filter, his memories too, he's an airhead, but these perceptions are fragile. He definitely does some "looking away from what's not beautiful", avoiding what he can't glamorise. As a theme, I think it's a really interesting thing to challenge in him.

I haven't written since last year 😭 I really thought I'd have the time/spoons to do it while in Paris but I ended up being too jetlagged/busy for it 😵

I guess it's not exactly a fic idea or anything, it's just something that's been on my mind. You know Karamatsu's ⭐ Perfect Fashion ⭐, right? And how we headcanon that Nozomi's style is very princess-like and clean, like casual mori or maybe casual dolly kei?

Well, I was thinking. What if after seeing Karamatsu so eagerly embrace his love for leather and sparkles and other extravagant fashion trends, Nozomi felt inspired to try to get creative with her own style?

Maybe she mentions this to Kara, who is of course immediately interested and ready to enable this, and is asking for references to see how he can help.

Nozomi warns him that everything's a bit odd, not the usual stuff you see in department stores (not a problem for Karamatsu of course, man lives in Outfit town right on DIY Street), and shows him her Pinterest.

Here's where i, myself, went on Pinterest and tried to find stuff that I think would look cute on Nozomi www, I was aiming for a balance between camp and cute/fun. Like Grimm's Brothers or Moomin fashion, but make it the type of outfit you'd see in Tokyo.

Karamatsu is maybe a bit surprised but believer on self-expression through fashion that he is, he jumps at the opportunity to enable this lol. Him and Nozomi end up spending literal hours in which he explains how he deconstructs an outfit that he wants to try to recreate, explains his strategies when it comes to thrift shopping and modifying garments so they fit his vision, etc.

I can see Nozomi getting increasingly excited the more she learns, to the point where they agree to go shopping the next day. Cue a make-over montage (it's really just a closet renewal project but you get the feeling I'm going for lol) that has bubbly y2k pop music in the background and focuses on those two trying stuff on and off in several dressing rooms, shopping for buttons and patches and maybe even plushies, getting lost in the streets of Harajuku, pausing for tea and maybe to have fun with a purikura photo booth, etc.

It's a whole thing of course, it takes them several days, they're both so busy with this project you'd almost think they got a job lol.

Next time Nozomi stops by the Matsuno's, Totty goes to answer the door and is greeted by Nozomi wearing a coat made of cookie monsters plushies and Kermit boots to match.

The moment he hears Karamatsu coming down the stairs, he turns his head 180 degrees to look at him like he's been possessed by the spirit of a wrathful owl, and his murderous glare very clearly asks: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE.

Open the gates which hold the flood, and let the love and care spew from every crack and crevice!!! (Not me sounding like Kara rn 😭 Someone needs to fight my inner poet lmao) Aka I'm interested in hearing everything!!!

Omg honestly I haven't had the spoons to think/work on anything much.

I've been kind of toying with the idea of Karamatsu and Nozomi meeting each other over multiple timelines (in a plot twist that surprises absolutely no one, I'm a hoe for reincarnation fics with star-crossed lovers who just can't seem to catch a break at center stage lol)

It could serve as a good way to worm Nozomi into all the AUs where Studio Pierrot let the ball drop too! But that requires some thinking. I want her presence in the AUs to make narrative sense, you know 🤔

Seeing all this art makes me miss her more ;-; Studio Pierrot needs to put her back in the show and as a honorary Matsu 😭 Btw, what do you think her signature color would be?

Let's not give up hope, if Homura and even Dobusu got brought back for some skits, why not Nozomi?

About her colours... I overwhelmingly picture her in white, with accessories that are either light pink or light blue. I think they fit her slightly... Ethereal aura nicely.

Her teenage room had a lot of light, soft colours, and if I recall correctly pink and yellow were the main ones.

Omg you're right! I mean, their luck is definitely a bit odd... But Kara often looks at the bright side of things and to be fair, that Nozomi got to make her dream come true regardless of their circumstances IS lucky. So I guess that's what you'd expect of those two together!
