Turkish Kara Turp Radish: a potent medicine. I was digging through the seeds William Woys Weaver has shared with me over the years, and found a 12-year-old packet of these radishes originally from an Istanbul market and decided to give them a try. To make the medicine: cut the tops and tails off, core out the middle, fill with honey, cover, let stand for 12 hours, and drink the honey-sweetened radish juice to cure colds and coughs.
