“Pensa come un albero,
sii pronto per ogni stagione,
dai riparo ai viandanti,
resisti a un periodo freddo,
e rinasci al primo segnale di primavera.”

LIKE A TREE
You may think it is the sun setting. But in fact, it is the full moon rising, with the skies borrowing the hues of orange and red from the other side, where the sun seems to be falling like a big ball of fire. As I captured the image and rested in the quiet stillness of the landscape, Karen Shragg’s poem “Think Like a Tree”, popped into my head. Here it is for your enjoyment.
Soak up the sun Affirm life's magic Be graceful in the wind Stand tall after a storm Feel refreshed after it rains Grow strong without notice Be prepared for each season Provide shelter to strangers Hang tough through a cold spell Emerge renewed at the first signs of spring Stay deeply rooted while reaching for the sky Be still long enough to hear your own leaves rustling
